Well today I got my mouth molded for braces, of course no one likes to get braces, especially when they are 16 and have to have them till there like 18 or 19! like me! man that really makes me mad that the dentist just now decides to tell me this, seriously, how often do you see a 16 year old kid, or older having braces, not too often, well i'm pretty mad about this, but i guess in the end it will only do me better, i just wish i was younger at least i wouldnt look so dumb.  -------------

yeh....i get mine some time, prolly before christmas.....I hope not to have them on for too long....my bottom row is fine....the only teeth that seem to be out of line are the two teeth on either side of my fronts and my canines might be a little....i dunno....i'm no dentist....but my grand-daddy is..... ------------- ROCK IS DEAD!!! I don't need braces....well, not entirely true. Dentist told me I could get braces to fix my minor overbite. But then I'd have to wear a retainer for the rest of my life. The other option was to break my jaw and reset it....I'll stick with a minor overbite thank you very much.  -------------

I had braces for 5 years plus a few surgeries inside my mouth.
I guess that is my inner Hollywood star trying to break out from underneath the demon horns. -------------

I get mine off sometime before Thanksgiving. I've had two sets, the first going from 4th grade until middle of 6th, and these I have on now, from the end of 6th to now... ------------- I don't have a sig anymore

I got em on and im 16, shouldnt be much longer hopefully, my teeth werent that bad. I got hit in the mouth with a baseball like a week after i got my bottom row on...would have knocked out one of my teeth but the braces held it in place. The tooth got pushed back from the other teeth and one got moved to the side. I had to wear a spring to fix it for like 7 months! -------------

i got mine off about 2 years ago. i had to get eight teeth pulled so they could put the braces in.
the worst part about getting the braces out is when they grind down the cement stuff they use to hold them in place. it dosent hurt but it vibrates your whole head. and they grinded my k9's down because they were "to sharp" -------------

Orthidontics is such a racket. I had braces when i was a kid, and i
didnt really need them. Its not like my teeth were set at 60 degree
angles or anything, my parents just evidently wanted me to have some
uber teeth or something. So after what, 4 years of the crap, they took em off. You know what they did? Absolutely nothing. I mean really and truly nothing. My teeth look exactly the same as they did before i started. I hated that crap so much. Having to go sit in the stupid chair every week or so, where a 5 minute procedure of changing the little rubberbands or whatnot took half an hour because the orthidontic thrall ladies spent more time gossiping then they did working on the people. Not to mention all that crap hurts. I would say 75% of the time i had braces i spent walking around with every single tooth aching from being forced around in my mouth all day. -------------

I just got mine off monday, now I have to deal with these stupid plastic retainer things...Owell...
I only had them on for about a year and a half...im 17 now...I hated it, but owell. The most painful part of the entire process is the first day or two they are on....I dare you to try and clench your teeth 3 hours after they are put on. |

I dont get mine off for about 18 more months. With me, I dont think braces were optional. My cainies(sp) were growing out of the gums above my teeth, all my teeth were tilted into my mouth, so one day I would be chewing with the side of my tooth, rather then the top. | MY friends with braces want my teeth, I'll put it that way. They look like I had braces, since they are all lined up and straight and what not, but just got luck yI guess. I've had fillings and stuff though. |
