Well, I've always been interested in getting a team together, and entering in a beginner's tournament, or whatever they call them.  I would think that right now its too late in the summer to try and get some good players together, buy matching jersey's, practice, and then find a late tournament.  So I think right now I will just start to get some people together and see what we can work out for next summer.

I've read all the topics by PSUGhost or whatever his name is  on PBnation and that helps a lot and makes me want to get a team together even more.

But I have a few questions.

  1. If this is everyones first time on a team, how do you determine who plays what position.
  2. Can someone please go into detail on the kind of marker/gear, and such that each position has?
  3. Do any companies that sell jerseys, also put logo's on them?
  4. What are some things to look for when scouting new players.
  5. Are there any sites that go way in depth, even more the PSUGhost, on each position?
  6. And if you have any other tips, that would be great.

Thanks!

here's the thing, you can get some people that are good at paintball at your local field. then you could "try out" kind of and see what they're best at and what gun they have matching that position. if you want a sponsor, you should enter a few tourneys and if you do good the sponsors may sponsor you.

Your talking about matching the gun to the position, well what kind of gun goes with what position? Arn't pretty much all guns the same except for the upgrades?

ok, front men are fast people that like light weight and nice and small, and carry not much paint, there just crazy people that run out and act as targets, the mid are the people that get a bit of both worlds, and back men, carry alot of paint, and are usslally the people to end the game, and you can go to ur shop, post posters, ext... ext..., and to get into games and what not check out ur shop or field for tourneys, teams, ext.... hope that helps a bit, all guns are for all postions it dont really matter....

Like they said, and to answer your questions

1. when you have your people that want to be on your team look at all of them and see small people usually equal front to mid while larger people tend to stay at back.... but try each one at different postions experiment while ya'll practice

2.front= small light gear... a shocker is great for front

Mid= carries a but more paint but not a bunch because they fill what gets taken out any gun thats gonna be fast will be good (etc. shocker, imp , BKO, B2K

Back- lots of paint... stays in the back usually last players... need fast guns to clear lanes

3. Not that i know of really i think 888paintball. com will put custom names and numbers on jerseys for a certain price

4. Heart, skill, things you can work on to make them the best

5.i dont know any

6. Practice, play hard, have fun

1. pratice with people and find out what position they like the most.

2. front man- carries not much paint, runs fast, needs a gun to atleast shoot somewhat fast. mid man- somewhat fast gun, carries more paint then front, lays cover, and does thing that the front player does. back man- lays a crap load of paint. needs a fast gun, shoots throughout the game. also he gives cover to his front and mid men.

3. i don't know of any companies.

4. skill, ability to work as a team.

5. don't know of any sites but im sure there is some.

6. ive said everying.
