No, thats a mess. M4 carry handle, AK clip, and that cheesy toy foregrip. All on an H&K style body, with a voodoo stock. Someone needs to get a clue. -------------

I like it! From a mil-sim point of view, the gun gives a very unique
profile, which is a nice change from all the M4 and MP5 variants out
there. I like the spetz front end (I've held one and they're more
substantial than you'd think) and the carry handle doesn't bother me a
bit since it gives the center of the gun a good feeling of center mass. I'd have a hard time living without my Flatline, but this is the sort of thing that would make me consider a normal barrel. On the stock, this one looks metal, which gives it an advantage over the foam filled ones out there, expecially if you play hard. The thickness of it from a cosmetic point of view is minor, since most of the time I imagine you'd be doing quick snapshots with it anyway. Big stocks get in the way, in my experience. Just a personal preference though. Overall, a nice looking gun made for close combat, up close and personal. I'd say 9/10. |

Thanks for the critique guys. I realize it's a hybrid but
I'm really not trying to duplicate a particular weapon. I used the parts from weapons I've always favored like the Spetznaz Ak-47 and the M4, plus, and let's face it, we're rather limited on what we can do. As for the stock. I have the Spetznaz stock and the G-36 stock from Opsgear but i actually like the JCS folding stock better. At least I can actually ust it with my Vforce!!! |

Heck, I actually love it because it IS different. He's not falling into the trend of boring old mp5's, he actually has the balls to do something different which should be respected.

Its pretty sweet nonetheless. I'd only recommend wrapping the steel braid line in black electrical tape so make it look more flush with the marker. Thats really cool, obviously some didnt read your post on it being a hybrid, just go with all the pieces that feel comfortable, if the AK grip is comfy go with it. I wouldnt change it if it works. the foregrip is really tiny and i dont like how high the sight is. why did you get a cap for it? are you planing on not shooting more than 10 balls? i never liked AK clips but live the 7.62x39mm ammo that AK's use. Folding stocks = to felxable 4/10

Here's a photo with the M-4 carrying handle removed
and the regular Opsgear Spetznaz stock in place. 
Thing is, like this it looks ljust like the Opsgear marker. There's nothing different. And as for the thing about "all on an MP-5 frame" all the A-5's are MP-5 frames so I guess you think every modification should be an MP-5 variant? I put the scenario cap on to keep focus on the gun, not on the hopper. BTW, here's another project:

And for those not used to playing with them, that scenario cap he's got
on his hopper will allow for 25 to 30 rounds, same as a mag. I've got
one on my A5 and they make for some interesting games. I find myself
really picking my shots so that a) I won't tell everyone where I am
before I've been able to eliminate at least one to two opponents and b)
to save paint.  Camo job kicks a$$. I like MP5 rigs, don't get me wrong, but it's still nice to see something that doesn't follow that mold. |

I'm going to have to agree along the lines of creativity and hybrid guns. I myself have a hybrid gun and the majority of people that see it are curious about it, Instead of just saying "Oh that's an MP5 scenario A-5" they look closer and see how each peice represents a personal liking toward that configuration in it's entirity. Of course it's not an MP5, h&K or whatnot. He never said that's what he was going for. With the attitude of never combining different guns and putting them together we would have never evolved from the original gun design. Think outside the box people, and Enos Shenk I thought you were supposed to be supportive of creativity and point out positive things being a mod, not put someone down for not following the road a dozen people before him have. ------------- Tricked? i do like the second pic of the gun much better(black not camo) because the stock really helps to balance the look of the gun. without the stock, the mag makes it look very front heavy. i know that a-5's were modeled to look like mp5's, but has anybody ever noticed the resemblance to a sig550 ------------- For my 16th birthday, my parents tried to surprise me with a car. I'v e taken a look at your creations and while they don't follow the norm, they are definately very nice and that's what counts! I especially like the skull grips!!! the spetsnaz stock looks horrible. i dont know why opsgear made it. if the real spetsnaz stock is really like that. it doesn't look like it belongs to a ak let alone an a5. keep the folding stock, maybe lose the carry handle. the sight looks like it's too high on the marker. maybe change the steel hose to a macroline. ------------- If God be with us, then who can be against us? |

I'm not thrilled with the Spetznaz stock from Opsgear
either. But the actual weapon really does have one similar. With the carrying handle and all it is overkill but hey, what the heck...it's paintball, right? I'm almost done with my other project and will post some photos of it soon. And, I'm taking what all of you say into consideration in the completion of it too. |

You know, I posted the photo and as far as Enos is
concerned, well, this is America and Enos is entitled to his opinion. If he thinks it's a "mess" then I can deal with that. That doesn't bother me half as bad as it would bother Enos when I hosed him with the "mess" because I could see his black and white Pro-Carbine from 100 yards away!!!
