I was looking into getting a new tank, something smaller then what I have now. I was looking at getting a 45k tank until I saw on pbgear.com a 70k tank which looked smaller and stubbier then the 45 tank. What I wanted to know is what is the difference in size and weight between the 70/45 tank and the 45/45 tank? 70/45 tank

No matter what it looks like the 45/45 is smaller. But you wont get as many shots. I would suggest a 68/45. Thats what im getting. Just small enough for me. Good amt of shots. ------------- Proto Matrix/Crossfire 92/45 Fund- $730/1150 |

I have a 68/45 now and I don't like it. Its to big and heavy. I can't position it so great either and I feel like I leave myself exposed to much. Are you sure the 45 is smaller the 70 looks alot smaller and fatter then the 45k. Edit: I got an idea from snipers post. Tommorow I think Im going to go to the local proshop and see what tanks they have. You know how stores do trade ins for guns do you guys think they'll do a trade in on tanks? It would be a trade of my 68/45 for a 45/45 or 70/45. ------------- (I'm a nob with no clue about almost anything...) |

Seems like someone fergot that working out wit wieghts helps in holding such tanks....dude , if you start working out wit yer arms, you wouldnt be askin what size tank would be easier to carry...seriously, people need to workout, lift some weights, it'll help anyone in the long run and if you dont think so....ask the "pro's" on what they do to keep in shape. ------------- Do not steal....the government hates competition!

Well when you learn to spell and read then I'll start lifting weights. Im not asking this because itTOO heavy Im asking this because the tank is to big and Im not a very big person. The gun and the 68/45 tank is to long for my arms I can't tuck in tight and thats important in tourneys. Size really doesnt matter, the tanks yer talkin bout is like carrying a 2lbs weight, theyre not that heavy and if size is yer major concern, the smallest is a 45/45 and you know you cant get any smaller than that unless yer gonna use a 9oz co2 tank...but, like you said, you wanna tuck yer marker into you....I know yer gonna hate what Im gonna say...but, Imma say it anyway, use a "remote line" and the tank can either be on yer belt or on the back of a harness oooooor you can reverse the tank adpater to where you can screw the tank in the front. ------------- Do not steal....the government hates competition!

LOL your right I don't like the idea..sorry. I had a remote before on my 20oz co2 tank for my Tippy and I didn't really like it. If the smallest HPA tank your going to get is 45k then thats what I'm getting. ------------- (I'm a nob with no clue about almost anything...) |

Actually theres another way you can have the tank on the marker, Ive seen markers in that configuration....have the tank face forwards, it'll help balance the weight of the tank and marker all together and you will be able to tuck the marker in closer to your the body. ------------- Do not steal....the government hates competition!

Ok well think of it this way. The first numer in this case the 70 refers to the number of cubic inches of fluid it could hold. So obviously tyhe 70 is bigger. The 4500 at the end refers to how much pressure the tank can hold. So a 70/4500 tank and a 45/4500 tank hold the same pressure but are different sizes. This means the 70 is bigger, holds more and is a bit heavier. If your front you will probably want to go with the 45 so you can get tighter in yoru bunker but if you play back you will want the extra shots from the 70. Its also alot of preference. Because some people dont like the smaller tank. If possible try seeing if anyone at your local field has a 70 or a 45 and see if you like it. -------------

I own a 72/4500 stubby. Its about as long as a 45ci, but way wider. It doesn't get in the way, and I like the number of shots I get. I'd go with the 70, because I don't mind a big tank. If you play front in speedball, a smaller tank is nicer though. I don't play too much speedball, so it doesn't matter. A 68/4500 is a good all around size. -------------  irc.esper.net #paintball |

Well, look at the size of the tank in Benjis sig. That kinda seems a bit bigger than the tank in the picture.. But Evil Fingers, most of us do work out, just if you got 20-30 pounds of stuff on you the whole day, your gonna be tired. No matter how strong you are. All those little 2 pounds dosen't matter adds up. |

The 2lbs weights statment was jus example...as fer carryin 20-30lbs of gear, that sounds like yer carryin more than jus a marker, tank, pods and mask. ------------- Do not steal....the government hates competition!

Well I am a front tourney player and thats why I want something smaller. I am looking for something not as long as the 68/45 tank thats why I was looking at the 70/45 and the 45/45 tanks.
