We know of course they they have gelatin balls filled with paint for paintball and gelatin balls filled with pepper for the police but what about gelatin balls filled with Raid anti wasp and hornet poison. It would be great for people like me who are allergic to bees. You just stand back really far, shoot the nest and when the balls explode it spreads its lethal poison all over the bees and thier nest. ------------- (I'm a nob with no clue about almost anything...) |

| Haha, nice idea, but I dont think it would work. I believe raid has a goodly amount of acid in it, so your have to make a Acid-proof paintball casing. If someone made them, Id be one of the first to buy them. Lots of wasps at my house. |

Dude, I would spend $$ all over that if it was real. I'm allergic to bees, also. And around here, it's not wasps I have to worry about. It's Yellow Jackets and Hornets. It'd be wicked more efficient than rocks.. Well, I dunno about a 12 guage.. But it'd be a good idea. I'd buy. lol

that would be usefull. at my feild theres hornet nests everywhere. once i fell on one and they got in my mask and stung my face. -------------

One other problem.... if it busts in your gun it would probably screw up every o-ring inside your gun. EDIT** I just did this. It has basicly the same effect as water on the ball but it breaks it down much faster. I noticed it started to come apart at the seams first. -------------

Did a search nothing came up, I made the thread and its here no so theres nothing I can do about it. Bees nest usually hang off of something so if you just shoot the ball at the nest it will probably go right through it but it will hit the wall roof or deck ithe nest is hanging from and it would explode. ------------- (I'm a nob with no clue about almost anything...) |

i just use regular paintballs and shoot the nest down it may not kill all of them but they leave plus its probably alot cheaper ------------- a5 polished internals flatline custom aluminum foregrip drop e grip w/custom blade trigger palmer stabalizer 71ci 4500psi dye throttle dye invisions vision impy tapeworm crossfire 88/45 EVO |

and wtf happens when you leave them in your gun and shoot someone in the mask with it. face it there are iditots everywhere and that would just give them another reason to be stupid and mess with things, just like frozen balls and shooting cars. plus if there are wasps i'm sure a ball moving 270 fps will reduce them to a splatter |

That's a great idea but some idiot would take them and shoot them at people. The acids probably would rust and then compleatly eat the metal away until it was rusted away to nothing. It would need some work but it probably could be done. ------------- (I'm a nob with no clue about almost anything...) |

i get some gloves on...make dry ice balls from blocks of it, and i
shoot it using a black maxx($30) (fyi:not my only gun) some die and the
others r either frozen(ez 2 kill) or they leave 4eva...i havn't seen a
bee on my property for 4 years

| hey u know why they dont sell those pepperballs to the public? bcause they could be used to hurt people i know regular paintballs could hurt people w/o masks but if u started to put poison(and tahts what it is) into them and someone started firing them at another person what would happen? anything! but yea it would be a good idea if it was regulated! |

Dry Ice is a pain and most likely it wouldn't really do anything. It would hit the wasp nest then go right through. It would only be in the nest for like a fraction of a second, thats not really long enough to do any damage to the bees. The Raid on the other hand wold explode and spead droplets and particles of deadly Raid on the bees and thier nest. ------------- (I'm a nob with no clue about almost anything...) |

That would be awesome. Im not allergic to bees but i hate getting stung. I think my bee sting count is at 15. I would borrow an angel and sit back and pelt those darn insects. It would be funny to watch you shoot a ball into the hive and you see them just fall out of the sky. |

Ive done the Gas and fire thing to (yea basically Im a bee killing pro and I've tried everything out there). Me and my friend got his lighter fluid, poured it all over the hornets nest then lit a match and watch it burned. Then while the nest was burning he lit a match and put it a the tip of the bottle and squeezed it, It was a homemade flame thrower.lol. ------------- (I'm a nob with no clue about almost anything...) |

i dont really hav a bee problem
buit either way
i wouldnt risk my gun
or waste any air
or pay more for these poison paint balls
or risk getting stung trying to look cool
i put on a long sleeve shirt
sum jeans
and a can of raid
go out...spray it all over them...mostly on the nest
and then book it back to the house...an hour later....repeat and kill the survivors
(also wear sum type of eye protection...a unfavorable gust of wind will blow that poison to ur face)
simple
and as safe as it get
lol

The 25 - 30 foot spray can isn't good enough? About the best way I could see a marker involved in this is to add a few holes to the nest before you spray it.
Intresting idea, but wouldn't / couldn't be used in most citys / towns due to city laws. ------------- It sucks being antisocial alone. |
