Ok I started playing Paintball back in 1987 when semi automatic was holding down the trigger and pumping the gun as fast as you can.  That sounds dirty.  Anyways I am getting back into it after awhile.

I have about $400 I can spend.  I hear great things about the Tippmann A-5 then I also hear that if you have the money to go with an Autococker.  Please give me some advice on the type of gun and what style.  I would really appreciate it

well for 400 i would suggest an 03 vertical feed look here its 239 dollars and then get the marco set up for a total of 254 look at it here http://paintballgateway.com/wgp20verfeed.html - http://paintballgateway.com/wgp20verfeed.html , then for a nitro tank i would suggest a 68/3000 look here http://www.bradyspaintball.com/crni68airsyb1.html - http://www.bradyspaintball.com/crni68airsyb1.html  then if u could get 65 more dollars then u could get a revy look here http://paintballgateway.com/vlrev12v.html - http://paintballgateway.com/vlrev12v.html  then u would be set, and have nice gun.  It will be very good plus after someupgrading it will pwn an a-5

Thanks a lot man.  I would prefer to purchase a gun locally so I can actually see it and get it right away.  Plus I would not have to pay the shipping.  Still it gives me something to look at and talk to the people about.  Thanks again.  You really helped me out.

Shoot a cocker before you buy one. They have kindof a funky trigger pull that you need to get used to otherwise it'll chop and all sorts of nasty things. They're a bit more complicated thhan tippmanns as well. The A-5 is more user friendly, go to a field, rent and play and see if anyone will let you shoot a gun that looks good to you, or go to a store and have them gas one up and let you try both.

Went out today and saw the A-5 and really liked it.  It has the Response Trigger on it.  They said I can get the package deal of gun, mask, air tank, and hopper for $300 then he will put the response trigger on for an additional $50.  I also liked the Spyder Fenix or something like that.  What is the big difference between the Spyder fully upgraded to the Tippmann A-5 package I want to get?  Seems like I get more with the Spyder package at a lower price, but there must be a reason it is not as expensive.  Please let me know.

that deal for the a-5 is prutty good, and dont get a spyder.  Its nothing compared to an a-5 and an autococker.  I say go with red_alert204's idea with the cocker and nitro and revvy!!!

Personally I would tell you to go with a tippy A-5 with cyclone feed, because:1 I have one, 2 It never ever chops balls(I know from experience.)and Finally It should run you anywhere from 280-300 bucks, depending on where you buy it............and oh yeah did I mention It is virtually indestructable.

Do what you want, but I am an economy kinda guy... I have little money so I try not to spend as much as possible... I spent $50 on a Kingman Victor... it's stock. I take better care of that thing than I do my girlfriend. I play about once a week, in my buddie's woods. I go against mostly Tippmann guns, seein how I live like 20 miles south of Ft. Wayne and all my buds have connections. They have RT's and E-grips and a couple have flatlines, one guy has about a $500 setup with the A-5, flatline, E-grip and compressed air and a whole bunch of happy stuff... Point is I dont worry about having the best gun, which I dont. In fact... I am outmatched by firepower pretty much every game. But in the woods, it's the man behind the trigger.  But if you are going to speedball, throw everything I said out the window and get a Cocker.

Godhand's theory on speedball... tuck, jump, shoot, and run like hell!
