So here I am in Las Vagas using our rooms computer, and earlier today we got a call on our cell which was odd cause everyone knew we were in vagas, and so they would have no reason to call us. So anyways it was my aunt, and she said the my cousin was hit by a car. So heres the story He was walking from his house to a pizza place or something with a friend, in a somewhat busy area. He got to a corner were he had to cross the street. Well stupid him didn't pay attention to the fact that traffic was still moving, so as he began to walk out into the road, a car came and hit him at 40MPH. He flew over the car air, landed on the trunk of the car, and then rolled off onto the ground. He layed there for a while, as people ran from everwhere to see him. He had the wind knocked out of him, but after a while he was ready to get up, but the people wouldn't let him get up incase he had like spinal injuries or something. So he gets to the hospital to find that he has absolutly nothing wrong with him, and so he's home now. All the doctors and nurses at the hospital say that they have never had a patient survive being hit a 40mph, let alone not get injured, so I guess he's like a miracle kid, well actually a miracle idiot for just walking into the street. -------------

^^Well ya its vagas, actually high speed internet/computers are becoming more and more common in hotels, at our local Holiday Inn they have it, and thats not a fancy hotel, Im staying in the MGM Grand, its the big Green one, accross from Xcalibur and New York- New York and no he is not fat at all, not even chubby lol -------------

someone needs to go to drivers ed. you would be suprised how fast 40 mph is. expecially when its a heavy car. -------------

iv been hit by a car like 3 times... people dont know how to drive when theres someone on a road bike ridding in the middle. you treat them like a car!

How does a car being heavy make 40mph any faster? It doesn't. Not at all. It just makes the force of the impact more. Some one needs to goto 8th grade Science. |

I think he was talking more about the sensation of going 40mph in a light car versus in a heavy car. The increased momentum may make it seem like you're going faster. |

Wow... some one special was looking over his Shoulder when he got smacked... I'm Glad he didn't Get any Injuries... I remember a Motorcycle Hit my Knee at 25mph and dislocated it... (That was the worst summer ever!) -------------

I don't have a "road" bike but I do ride on the road sometimes, and I know exactly what you're talking about. I've not only been hit (nothing happened, just a tap) I've hit my brakes hard enough that the front wheel of my bike bent. This was because some jerk decided to fly around a corner without looking (I was in plain sight if he'd actually looked in front of him) and I barely missed his truck. Of course he kept on breaking the speed limit down the road, leaving me bleeding on the road and a useless bike tangled up in my legs. Stupid drivers. ------------- Is God real? You'll find out when you die.

LOL- WHAT? For Gawd sake people die falling off their bike or skateboard (brain housing group dislikes pretty much any impact). 40 MPH with a 2000 lb.+ car= huge force of impact. In fact my guess is the car that hit him was not going 40mph. In any event he is very, very lucky. |
