Yes, I know there have been a lot of these but this one seems to be bad. I have one other computer and I have kept it off for about a week until we regained power once more (hurricane charley) I got power back on about 30 minutes ago and went to go turn on the computer. Everything was loading fine until the power flickered and the computer was shut off. Now when I turn it back on it goes to the black Microsoft Loading screen then a dark blue screen pops up and says:
Microsoft Fatal Login Error (Insert numerous numbers and letters here) So it wont do anything from that screen and when I turn it off and reboot it does the same thing. Does anyone know how to fix this?

You should have bought a surge protector, or a better one.
Simplest solution = Re-Install windows.

How would I re-install windows if I can't get past the blue screen?

Insert your Boot/Windows CD.
Unless you have a Pirated version, if so Bill Gates is on his way.

It wasnt the hurricane, it was the power going out in the middle of bootup.
Reinstall windows.

The hurricane itself wasnt too bad. There were some twisters that ripped off roofs and a wall of nearby bowling alley. So if I reboot windows will I lose everything on the computer?

It's kinda obvious. It formats your hard drive.
Format= Delete everything

Not Necessarily. You can do the "Restore Windows XP" or something option. It replaces the system files that are required to boot Windows with the ones on the CD. It should be enough to get him up and running.
Just put in your WinXP CD, and reboot the computer.
It will be like "Hit any key to boot from CD......" so hit a key.
It will load and then be like "Install windows press [some key] restore windows press [some key]" Do the install windows.
Then it will be like "Fix a current install of windows [press key]" "Format and install Windows [press key]" "Do not format and install windows [press key]".
Do the Repair one.
That should get you up and running.

Well, you obviously did something wrong. There is usually no need to do a fresh install of an Operating system, unless it is so cluttered with spyware, virii, and the like that it cannot be fixed.
The Windows XP repair will most of the time get you back on your feet. If not, install it WITHOUT formating your hard drive. Most of your programs will have to be reinstalled, but your filesystem will remain in tact.

When the power goes out and many files are deleted it's kinda hard to replace those files.

How are files deleted? They are never deleted in boot up. They may be corrupted, but never deleted. If that was the case, the operating system needs to be closely looked at for re-coding.
As I stated before, if you do a "Repair Windows XP" In most situations, should, and will get you back and running, even if only in Safe mode.

Well, that leaves but one option. Kick in the screen, rip your shirt off, and go set up a fort in the bowling alley.

I like the way you think. Maybe after that we could paint ourselves with tiger stripes and go free all the animals in the zoo.

Well actually it told me that config.sys or msconfig cant remember which was either corrupted or deleted. So i repaired it but on the reboot it said ide drive 1 2 3 and 4 not detected and brought me to the windows load screen. So i reinstalled it but still get that same messege on the reboot. It still boots fine but gets tad annoying.

It may not "fix" your system, but it may allow you to get back into Windows at least long enough to backup all your user files.
