I'm currently looking for a marker that'll last for awhile, and still shoot 20+.
Should I spend the extra $400 for a DM4, or would an 04 Shocker be good, for tourny ball.
Also, does anyone know what sites will do custom anadizing for your marker. I was thinking about haveing the same design from a rasta angel onto a shocker.
Post websites.
thanks in advance.

You want a shocker, and reliability? Thats like asking for eminem to do ballerina hip hop. Not gonna happen.

the DM4 isnt worth the extra money when an ironman trix is there, or any sort of trix, unless you just love to buy into the hype.

Buy a timmy of some sort if you want something with a good fan base(which it seems like you do). Their nice, dont break down if you know what you are doing and are gentle on the field, and are plenty fast.

But, if you want something way worth the money, then you should get a viking. You dont pay for hype, you can either buy one new, or buy a broken in viking if you are lazy. The consistency is better than that of all markers mentioned before, and it has a good feel to it. The only thing you might not like is the way it looks, but if you are really tht worried about looks over performance, go bunker yourself in the face.

If you cant find any good Vikings, then look into a 2k2, or a 'Z' Series Intimidator.

Well talon master, as Gatyr said I wouldn't buy into hype. I would look into a dye matrix for only 825$. Or check ebay for a used aka viking, you can get some killer deals.

it should be....

dm3, new bolt, low rise clamping feed, cp reg, uni.

or

stock dm4, maybe a cp roller, eh of course you`d want to get the new bolt thats coming out (i heard you can get a  case of paint on a 68 4500 instead of like 7 pods).

o ya pm me if you have any questions concerning the dm4 (i own one)

Ok, thanks for the help guys.
I've decided on either a Matrix, or maybe some kind of Timmy.

BTW, I'm not trying to get into hype, sorry if it sounded like I did.

all timmys do the same thing pretty much.  the only real difference is the milling and availability of an LCD screen.  also, who makes the Viking?

The Viking is a great marker, but as was just pointed out, if you want a new one, you are SOL.

The DM4 is the best marker on the planet right now... light, fast, quiet...   the other Trixes are great also though.   I love my DM4 and it is a fight for me to put it down to practice a couple games with my back up (NYX Matrix).

The Shocker doesn't deserve to be in the same conversation with any of the Matrix/Vikings.

edit button rico, edit button.

But you can still uby a new viking,  go to the AKA part of pbnation, and click on both sponsors on the top of the page, and both places have a few vikings in stovk new. But i dont see why you would rather buy a new one rather than a broken in one. More maintinance you have to do, unless you want a raw one so you can anno it how you want.

And how much lighter is a DM4 than a NYX or ironman trix? I felt on of those, and it was really light, and i didnt notice to much of a difference. And is it really worth the extra money for the looks and weight for a DM4 over a regular matrix?

doesnt seem like that justifies the extra few hundred $$$, but if you have the money, oh well.
