Cheating guns have become such a “problem” that the NPPL has spent lots of money and time on a robot that can tell exactly what your gun is doing. |

“Ugh Mr. Bryant, you jump too high and run too fast, so in order to level the playing field you have to play with bricks strapped to your feet ok? Thanks. “Oh, if you don’t your team forfeits the rest of the season, thanks buddy!”
GR8, i like watching speedball but i know i'll never be able to be a pro, i still think the shirt, head wear, and gun things are dumb.

Some of those rules do seem pretty unneccessary but then again I'm not ecactly pro, so I don't have to worry about that at the moment....

The rules sound good to me. If the players weren't so dishonest they wouldn't be necessary.

| The
NBA does not go up to Kobe and be like, “Ugh Mr. Bryant, you jump too
high and run too fast, so in order to level the playing field you have
to play with bricks strapped to your feet ok? Thanks. “Oh, if you don’t
your team forfeits the rest of the season, thanks buddy!” Hell no. So
if someone figures out a way for their gun to be faster than someone
else’s, good for them! Let them use it and quit crying about it. The
NFL doesn’t go up to Warren Sapp and be like, “Warren, there are little
kids watching the game, so if you could watch your language that would
be great. Also, if we catch you wearing anything underneath your helmet
like a bandanna or a head wrap you are not going to be allowed to play
for the rest of the game. Good luck!” Don’t think so. So why must we
keep changing our sport to be just like the others? Let players wear
what they want and shoot as fast as they want. Players pay too much
money to go somewhere and have someone tell them they can’t put two
stickers on their hopper or wear a headband that hangs past their
shoulders. Until we are all being paid to play at these events and are
broadcast all over TV, we should not be hassled as much as we have been
recently. Let the players play, and quit worrying about the petty <stuff>. |

he did???????
He made points to cover up his true points. Untucked jerseys to show sponsors? No, untucked to promote bounces.
Stickers??? Who cares, they just hide hits..... are you a paintball player or a billboard?
pads, yes. Good point. even though most fields are grass or sand.
he even supports ramped and bouncing boards. i mean dubbya tee eff???
and saying that boards are set that way from the factory is no excuse.
Any player should read the rules before they play and make neccasary
changes. Because some kids don't know how to tweak their guns or have a
proshop do it, is somehow the NPPL's fault?
*edit* I also found the Kobe Bryant analogy to be total crap. Kobe
Bryant can jump because he has the skill to do so. Players don't shoot
fast because they have skill, they cheat to do it. The rule always has
been one shot per pull of the trigger. They just found a better way to
enforce it. If you get disqualified its your own fault for trying to
push the rules and cheat the robot.

Rules are rules- know them and follow them, it's really pretty simple. From a distance that sticker may look like a hit so a ref indicates your gone, another pulls your arm band and you whine and cry it was the sticker. Many of those rules are designed to make the job of the refs easier, to help ensure players are pulled for legit hits and not something that looks like a hit. As far as tucking in the jersey- my Gawd tourney guys wear clothes 2 and 3 sizes to big- those jersyes would hang down to your thighs easily hiding hits from the refs. And if a guy plays 5 minutes with a hit that gets found after the fact that can be game changing. My opinion the guys just whining to whine and he's never reffed much either I'd bet.

The Guy!
Pro paintball and paintball in general has a huge problem with cheating. I would be fine with a rule that said if you get cought wiping your out for a year, and your team is out of the tourny.
Every sucesseful sport has to have strict rules, and if that means you can't where your ornamental head gear because some players use it to hide hits and get bounces so be it.
