i just got this idea when the ho said that a rocket cock wouldnt look right on his blue gun, if you would get a rear cocking system for a 98c then instead of using the little black plastic cover for the hole in the side of the gun you might be able to weld over the hole from the inside then grind it down smooth on both sides and then paint it but you'd need to be a pretty good welder since theres a possibility of warping the metal or getting perosity and all that other crap that messes up you welds, as long as the inside would be flush with the rest of the reciever i cant think of any problem this would cause, but im not that fromiliar with the 98c so maybe i just thought of a completely useless idea

and with them clay it would be way easier to sand the clay down instead of taking a chance and grinding the metal to far so that it is un even. i am going to try this, and i am going to try and make a vert feed myself.

Well then fine do it with metal, noone cares. They were just saying the way most people do it, because it easyer and more forgiving if you make a mistake.
