I have come across this issue a few times the last couple of years and so I thought I'd see what anyone else here thought - at our local field on the bushball field, we have lots of natural and manmade bunkers, some of the manmade bunkers are made with pallets or made so you can see through them and also if you prefer, stick your barrel through and shoot.  I've actually been shot through the cracks, and more than once now, when some people get shot, they freak out because they were shot through the cracks of the bunker material.  I see no problem myself getting shot either through the cracks or being shot by someone sticking their barrel through the crack and picking me off, to me it's war; take advantage of whatever you can to obtain the overall goal of winning.  Feel free to post your opinion either way, I told the guys at the field I would post this, print it off and we would see what everyone had to say, thanks.

I dislike blindfire, but when people blindfire, they dont expect you to move. Run around the other side they are blindfiring at and you are gold.

What is wrong with that? Oftentimes that is why there are holes and gaps in bunkers, to shoot through. Tell them to suck it up and find better cover.

If he can SEE you and hit you, you could SEE him thru the same crack and hit him. That is not blind fire.

blind fire-- sticking your marker around a corner without looking and firing.

To me shooting thru a pallet is legal in my book.

                                   good luck

The people at my field are all speedballers who are either wimps or use a case of paint a game. They don't let you shoot through cracks because they're either too afraid or that they need too much paint to get the person out. And when I say too much in speedballer terms, it means 6 hoppers full over the 5 it normally takes.

What? This is actually an issue in places?

If I can get a paintball through it, I'm going to. Trying to put limitations on when and where you can shoot is just stupid. I think we all grew out of making up rules as we go when we hit puberty. This really makes me think of two 8 year olds playing cops and robbers, arguing about who got who.

Completely asinine.

Personaly i dont like the idea of putting your barrel through cracks in a speedball game. I have been shot many times through holes in my bunker in a game, but i feel the should be solid bariars that you can only shoot from the left, right, or top, not through. In woodsball, its more tactical so i would do it every chance i get.   Just my opinion....

I don't recommend it. Not only do you not know what your shooting at, (duh), but you can also scratch your barrel if you pull out the hole to fast.

Sometimes, that's the only way you can get a couple kills.  We did a night game up at the woods I play in and the people in the fort were guarding that thing pretty well.  At least until someone came running up and stuck their gun in the hole someone was trying to shoot out of.

I don't really see a point in complaining when I get shot.. usually it's because I deserved it (like I wasn't watching my six).  Unless your the guy that's in the castle last and someone scales the sides and lits your ass up with an auto A-5.  He had a right to gripe.

blindfiring, is crap...

but when you can actually see the person and shoot them through the pallet..isnt it basicly the same thing as bunkering someone if theyre right on the other side of the pallet?

i do it...and i have been hit through a crack...noone complains where i play because its fair...it actually takes some skill  instead of laying down 54554bps to get one person

I wasn't talking about blindfiring, most if not all fields don't allow it, I was reffering to sticking you barrel thru a crack in a bunker/pallet/whatever your hiding behind, and shooting people and NOT speedball.  I don't because I'm scared I will move fast and damage my barrel, just wanted some feedback to share with the guys on our field, thanks for the replies.

The reason I put that skill in the show was from a scenario game I went to a while ago.  I was in a building.  I had looked at my angles, and saw that if I stood at a hard angle to the window I could skinny a ball through the window, through the trees outside of the town, and hit players behind the prop in the woods in about a 1 inch area they were standing in.

I did this about ten times, and a referee came sprinting up to me to punch my card for blindshooting.  I made the ref stand where I was, and look down my line of sight, and I reassured him that I could see who I was shooting at.  He kinda squinted, nodded once, and said "Carry on."  I asked him kindly to tell the people I was shooting that I wasn't blindfiring, something that it seemed none of them could believe.

The thing was that I was threading the needle, like I showed in the show.  Instead of being 100% urban, however, I was doing it through thinking "outside the box" and knowing a window angle could be altered by where I stood.  That's the goal of showing that kind of stuff, HOPEFULLY more people will see that, and realise you can do it.

I can dream, yes?
