This is his 98.  He did all the work hiself . It was lots of work!  This 98 looks even better in person and gathers a crowd at the field, although sabby does need a hopper 30 shots is not enough. I would also suggest a longer or flatline barrel and a R/T. Great job sabby why spend all the extra $ on an A-5 when you have the skill to do this kind of work and enjoy doing it.......PS lets get to the killing field.....

plenty of people for whatever reason have wanted a 98 w/ a cyclone. so unless that gun is: A- not your gun or B- phottoshopped and im not suggesting it is either of those, then graet job! but here is the big question: Does it work? if so, does it have all the benefits as it does on the A-5 including a feed rte of 15+ bps with no chops or skips?

I'm not saying that a Cyclone couldn't be successfully mounted on a 98 - the prototype Cyclone was obviously worked onto a 98.  It can be done.

But the work involved is significant - you can't just glue it on and hope it works.  Therefore, given this particular poster, I believe that one of these is the case:

(a)  The Cyclone in the picture is not mounted on the 98, or is not functional, and this is just a clever picture; or

(b)  This 98 does not belong to the poster.

I could certainly be wrong, and a few more (and better) pictures will go a long way towards proving me wrong.

I ain't holding my breath.

Someone said it'd be cheaper... I don;'t see how as you need two guns. a ebolted 98 cyclone can be sweet, and it's a cool project to do, looks slanted to the left (looking down barrel) but that might help it feed/

yea but why spend the money to buy a cyclone, when you could have just bought a regular hopper. i hate the cyclone system, it just sucks. its really wide, its not that fast, its very rough with brittle paint, and is really heavy.

i congradulate you on your craftsmenship, but i still find it a waste

The Cyclone is heavy???  It is significantly lighter than any other hopper other than a VL200.  No batteries, remember?  Try lugging a HALO around...

Granted, the side mount can be an annoyance for speedball, but I love the low profile for woodsball...

One, the cyclone is NOT the fastest.
Two, the rough with brittle paint comment was talking about paintballs, not the hopper.

I guess I haven't weighed them on a little scale, but holding my 12V Revvy and my Cyclone in my hands, the Revvy is noticably heavier (w/2 9V batteries).  And, of course, the Cyclone outfeeds the Revvy by quite a bit.

I recognize there is some taste involved here, but to me the Cyclone is one of the best features of the A-5.

You don't know heavy until you've held an original AGD RT 'Mag with a WarpFeed and a Flatline tank. All stainless steel baby (cept for the warp).
And anyways, ever think he did it so he would have a decent-speed hopper that doesn't need batteries? That's a big reason why I bought my Qloader. Running out of battery power mid game sucks. Sure he could've gotten the Q instead, but hey he did something custom. He shouldn't be flamed for that. Again, have you people no imagination? God talk about close-minded, uptight hard@sses...

cyclone on a 98 has been done before..but by Dennis Tippmann J.r. this guy is a regular consumer..took time and did his homework ..made it work..good job..all a-5 users are gonna say it should stay on an a-5..its what makes it unique...other than that it think the cyclones great..its very light..mine never misses..and how fast it goes depends on how fast you shoot..so whoever say its not fast.. YOUR NOT FAST ENOUGH FOR IT..it spins to how fast you shoot so quit whining either spend money on a r/t or e-grip..if u cant do that..then learn how to become fast and become one with your gun..if i can beat an impulse with vision eye and a halo with my finger and my a-5..so can anyone!

To you people saying why:  Why is it you only question people new to the forum in terms of why they did it.  I don't see anyone complaing to Enos about making his semi-auto tigershark, or the bolt he made.  Hypocrits.

ecxept you cant.
im not supporting any impulse, but,
1. cyclone only feeds 15-16bps max
2. unless you have an rt its hard to get your a-5 to 15-16 bps max because the egrip is capped at 15bps so it doesnt outshoot the cyclone.
3. stop being so full of your a-5 and acting like its the best gun, its really annoying and noobish.
