Look what the nice UPS man brought me!

Thats right, 4 foot of .75" delrin rod.
And heres what i wanted it for

New delrin bolt sitting next to a stock carbine bolt. Should fit
prolite too, i dont think theres any difference in the carbine and
prolite bolt.

Lots of neat plastic swarf.

I think I might have thought of a way to make the raised part for the
98/a-5 front bolt but you would need a larger diameter rod and some
sort of bonding agent and a way to cut the stuff.... maybe a dremel,
but it might not look all that professional,
IDEA:getting a larger diameter rod and drilling out the center to the
size of the front bolt for the 98/a-5(the thickness of the hollowed out
rod would be the height of the raised part on the bolt) then cutting
out a section of the newly formed tube so it will be the same size as
the raised part, then to connect it to the bolt you might be able to
use little pins made from lathed delrin or small metal pins or
something and drill some little holes in the bolt and the raised piece
soon to be attached then using some type of strong bonding agent to
attach them all together and drill the hole in the top of the raised
piece for the linkage arm to finish it off..... i guess that would kinda be alot of work
for one little bolt thought and theres a chance of the holes for the
little pins holding the raised piece in to be off a bit and throw your
accuracy off or something

Why would you waste $10,000 patenting a stock bolt made out of a different material?
Some people have wacky ideas about what a patent is.

the stock internals are best compared to the other internals out.(besides shocktech, i havent heard anything about them)
if you did some thinking. if people with cockers and other guns try to get rid of there metal bolts, why would you want to replace the tippy bolt for a metal one.
