i'd say go with the outkast. I've had one. But its still a cocker, and I'd always vote against them.

But it is an upgrade from your 98...

oukast no question.
its just made with better parts, the 04 is a lower model cocker, the outkast is a mid.

the first thing that i am getting is a good nirtogen system, dye ultralight, and an e-blade so i donno if that will make a difference on the guns in the end...

it still does make a difference. in the internals a bit, but mostly the pneus. the oukast comes with much nicer pneus than the 04, so it will be faster

if your upgrading to an eblade right off the bat, just get a nighkast

i'm gonna be changing all of the internals, front block, etc. so is it really worth the extra 100?

NO the outkast is not worth the extra 100$ if your going to be buying all new parts for it. You may want to look into a superstock or nightkast which comes stock with worr-blade.

if your going to upgrade every single thing of the gun, just start from scratch.
http://www.ottersccustoms.com - www.ottersccustoms.com he made a really nice cocker from scratch for around $550, he also explains every detail on every step he makes, and part he buys.

how much are you going to spend right off the bat?

i am not gonna spend much right off of the bat because i still have to get a good nitrogen system maybe a used AIR but i will be just putting the new barrel, e-blade, feather weight back block, and a new front block, probably evil or bomb.

Do you think i should upgrade a cocker or buy a used angel?

thanks

well i u wanna put that much money into it id say go with a
1.trix 2. orracle or 3. angel Oh and the pimp of course

edit: dont say just cuz you pratically changing all the parts of a cocker... and the back block(asuming thats without the bolt) is a waste of time and money

buying just a back block is not a waste of time, or money. a ligher back block allows you to lower the pressure, because it takes less air to push the ram back.

Yah i though it would be worth it because it was 20 grams lighter which would also give you a higher rate of fire. and all that stuff i listed was just stuff that i will do all in one short time period and i don't like trixes so i will not be getting one of those. i was gonna buy rodney squire's gun (angel a4 with angel AIR for 900) but the gun was sold a couple of hours before i got to it. So anyways i will be getting a lot more upgrades than the ones listed but that will come in the future.

i dont recomend AIR. not only are they big and heavy, alot of people have been having trouble with it.
also, knowing that you rely on batteries for your air source... is pretty sad.
just save the money and get like a crossfire or pure energy tank, and (if you get the 03) get a better inline reg, such as an aka sidewinder, or bob long torpedo. the outkasts inline reg is a great reg.
