ok guys I have decided to make a mil sim out of my 98 here is where I need your input.
first the fore grip
I would like to put a g-laucher there to cover it anyone know of one for sale anywhere?
failing the launcher a magazine,I know it wont be in the right spot but ahwell it would look better than the grip,so what are the choice's? I have seen the aisof one's and while they look nice enough I want it to look better, anyone know of another way of doing it?
second
sight rail, are the bt's the way to go? I have the bt barrel kit allready what else would look cool?
third
stock,I allready have the metal folding one and like it because it is as sturdy as the rest of the gun,not sure on how it will look after I am done with the rest of the gun,so I will leave that for last
the very end wll be my expansion chamber and line,I think I will be able to hide the chamber in the magazine and then I will worry about the line, replace if I need to.
thanks guys!

first: i would not put a granade launcher on your gun. trust me, its just a waste of space
Second: bts should be ok. for what else would make your gun look cool,
you should get a remote line and you could paint your gun camo.
hope this helps.

in my op, the most important thing for a milsim gun is having a q-loader. if ur not familiar w/ it, its a motorized loader that looks like a pod that can be monted under your barrel(where a gren launger would go) the 3 things that make them so good are 30bps capabiliity(makes the halo b look like a revy!), it lets you put any type of scope/sight/or sight rail on ur gun, because it feeds the gun thru flexi hose, so there is no hopper on top of ur gun to ruin the milsim look, and last of all, some ppl have disguised it to look like a grenade launcher. it costs $80, but for all those benifits, its well worth it. visit http://www.qloader.com - www.qloader.com as for the stock, u schould get one of the new car stocks, i think they makem 4 98's now, but u should get one of the new version car stocks because they are more realistic and durable. If u get the stock, u will need a sight rail, because with ur mask on, u cant get ur eye close enough to the top of the gun. you should get an m-16 style rail, with regular dovetail mounts or weaver. If the pro team scenario '98 rail has a sight rail on top, u should get that one. And last of all, if you have a raised sight rail, then you need the q-loader, because a reg. hopper would block ur view. an m-16 barrel shroud would look nice as well. as for x chambers, i dont know much about mounting them since i dont own one., but to finish off the look of ur gun, u should get a remote line. As far as i know, that is the best milsim set up plus a few other extra performance parts, but one thing is for sure. FOR MILSIM U NEED THE Q LOADER. hope it helps, and good luck

u know grenade launchers go for about $650 right? and they would just make ur gun a few pounds heavier in the front- u would never use it.

Where did you get the idea that the Qloader is motorized, the Qloader is a "force feed spring compression loader"....no batteries and mechanical parts.

I like the q loader as well, but I would go to their site to look it up. I have mine mounted as a buttstock and use a coiled remote(I'm thinking about getting a straight one). My marker sort of looks like a sniper rifle with the flatline barrel and scope, but I really went for function, not form. As for the grenade launcher, I would want to see one fired first. Maybe it would be cool.

Just buy that m79 on ebay that's about 90 bucks, otherwise you would
have to waste money on something that's not worth that much ($650)

even if u can find one for $90, still why would u ever need one? all it takes is a paintball to get someone out- why shoot a grenade?

I actually have a g-launcher on order from a guy who custom makes them, dunno how its gonna look but evil fingers has it right.
if I am makeing a last stand I can pop up and fire one off, yeah it adds weight to the front of the gun but thats fine.
I allready have the bt-16 barrel shroud and the raised sight rail(looks cool as hell ) will post a pic later,I also have the folding stock and remote so I am allmost there just gotta find some way of covering up that exp. chamber! someone sugjested to order one of those broken m-16 airsoft rifles off ebay and butcher it up to make a magazine,if I can find one cheap might do that!

oh yea. ive had a lot of situations when im in the large, heavy woods and the whole opposing team is squeezed behind a tree 20ft away (just the range of my launcher) laying down fire on me and somehow i manage to get out for a few seconds and plop out a grenade out of a launcher (i need a launcher because im too lazy to throw it) and take out the entire team.
NO!! just go hide, sneak over and flank 'em

still, i wouldnt pay $20 for a grenade launcher BECAUSE THERES NO REASON TO USE IT!! its sole purpose is to make the gun look cool and make it really heavy.

Uh, actually the new Scepter launcher goes beyond that. It can be used as an AT device in scenarios (hand grenades cannot) and it can lob a grenade further than you can by hand. This allows you to use it like a mortar...Lobbing grenades over obsticals at long distances to eliminate players. Not usless, but not for every player on the field either.
I will be anxious to see how the new Scepter launcher works with the general public. Should be out in a couple weeks.

not really worryed about how heavy the gun is,I run around with a harnes that holds 8 pods, and a 24 oz remote tank a launcher is not going to bother me.

evil fingers, i know the q loader is spring driven, sry if i didnt use the precise terminology but to me, a hopper that uses something other than gravity to feed balls to the gun is motorized.

From what I read in the opsgear forum before it was shut down (shut down to be revamped) the Scepter launcher is going to be tested this Oct 16th & 17th in a scenario game somewhere in Southern California by a team of scenario players....I fergot their team name.
Robo, I dont think the general public is really ready fer somethin like that but, fer those who are serious bout doin scenarios, those guys are ready fer anything.
