Geez I feel sorry for the people who live there, but it seems we are forgetting about all the thrid world countries that have been decimated as well... on the small island of Grenada, 90% of the island was leveled when Ivan rolled through, and the average MONTHLY salary there is $200 dollars. They lost everything they had, and even there airport was mangled, so no Relief Airplanes can get in, and no tourists can get out.... seems like a no win situation if you ask me... ------------- To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift -Steve Prefontaine |

...It's just the media, seriously. 1999, Catagory5 hurricane Floyd hit
NorthCarolina, you didnt see much attention about it, and you saw even
less help going to them. Areas 100-150 miles inland, got 8-9 foot
floods. Florida? They just got hit with another hurricane. OH NO NOT A HURRRIICAANE!!  -------------

your deserve to be slapped, really. I have family in Florida, after 3 hurricans it's a bit much. You relize people are dead and houses are gone. No power, etc. I don't remember Floyd being a Catagory 5. Now Florida has Jeanee to worry about. Think before you type. -------------

and the local bowling ale near me gets flooded with 2 inches of water and we're getting 8 inches the one good thing is i get a 4 day weekend and miss several very hard tests

I was trying to keep it lighthearted, not start another political debate. Suffice to say that the election of 2000 is not over. It will be decided this year when voters either keep Bush, and justify his first term, or elect Kerry, and show that they don't feel Bush should have the job. Simple as that. So until this election can we please stop whining about it. -------------
