Here's my latest A5 config. I wasn't really trying to emulate anything in particular but it has a bit of a M4 look. I'm not planning on adding a magazine because I prefer to use the front grip (functionality over form). I've tried the Lapco replacement but I still prefer the original handle. I have polished internals, eGrip, various trigger mods, x-chamber, 45 degree remote connector, and a 12 inch JJ ceramic barrel. I originally had the 32 degrees CAR/RVA stock but I really like the JCS MP5 folding stock instead.

The handguard and the carry handle are custom jobs using real parts. The handguard consists of shorty guard halves with epoxy and PVC couplings. The Delta ring, front cap, and weaver rail are pretty easy to find. I decided against a M4-style front sight because they have to be special made and are rather expensive...I wouldn't use it anyway.

The carry handle has the rear sight removed and rear bolt trimmed to fit the A5. The side accessory mount is rather hard to find but works great and leaves the top open for an additional sight rail. The red dot placement is perfect for use with a stock and mask.

You should have stuck with a CAR stock. You're first mistake was getting the 32 degrees plastic CAR stock. It would actually make it look like an m4, along with a few other things. Not really an m4, it has a front grip and thats about it. And if you have e-grip why go double trigger?  IMO i would go back to single, and i would also take out the front mp-5 sight. Cool gun, im sure it functions well.

yeah, car stock would have been big improvement.  I have rarely seen m4's with scopes.   Try and get a fake magazine to cover the grip.

Thanks for the input guys. I do have to disagree with Murdoc though. Like I said, I'm not trying to make a M4 but the carry handle and hanguard give it a similar look. I still have the mp-5 sight because I take off the red dot and carry handle when I want to reduce the weight and I still use it occasionally. I prefer the double trigger even though a the stock trigger would look more realistic. I've gone through a large number of mods and add-ons and I think this is my best setup for the functionality and milsim look combined that I've come up with so far...short of going lkp.

I also disagree about the 32 degrees stock. It appears to be made out of a low end CAR stock. I have a real one and they appear to be identical. There are some issues with the 32 degrees RVA but if you know how to deal wit them it works great for the price. I use the folding stock in the extended position 80% of the time but I like to be able to fold down the gun in tight spots, when playing speedball, and in  between games. It also fits better in my gun case. Regardless, thanks for the thoughtful input!

Oh i didnt see the RVA part about the stock. The regular 32 degrees stocks are like toys.

Don't use the camo cover for your hopper.  It makes it look bad.

It looks pretty nice to me...  I'm not really into the whole "mislim" thing.  I play all speedball...

Looks pretty good.  From what I can tell, if you had a single trigger instead of a double trigger, you wouldn't be able to fire your gun with the stock folded.  If so, I'd keep it, if not, I'd put the single back on there.
