My b-day is coming up and i'm thinking about asking for an n2 tank. I found a 72 ci 3000 for 85 dollars. I'm wondering if these tanks are really as bad as pbreview says.

Pure Energy are good tanks, but most likey for 80 dollars it is steel, and thats ok if u want a heavy tank, but I would spring for $135 and get a 3a 68/3000 fiber tank, they got new regs on them and are nice tanks.

I would buy the 68/45 crossfire for $185.  Your probably thinking that im crazy but you will be happy in the end.  I wouldn't suggest buying a steel HPA tank because it is heavy, and it does not fill as well as carbon fire.  Steel heats up alot more than carbon fiber when it is filled and the change in temperature will cause you to lose a few psi.  I lose about 150 psi and a steel tank might lose about 300 psi.  Plus, if you buy a 3000 psi tank no place is going to fill it all the way.  The most they would fill it is to about 2800 psi and then factor in your psi loss.  Thats only about 2500 psi and 68ci.  Thats not very many shots.  Depending on your gun, it might be good for you.  I can get about 500 shots with my 04 cocker with that amount of air.

Yeah, I have the 68/45 crossfire, and it's a great tank. If you dont want to spend that kind of money though, you could go with a smaller tank. I would stay away from the PMI tanks, my friend had one, and after a week of use, the guage broke. I'm not against PMI or anything, but it took them about a month to ship another guage. If anything, I would look for a steel crossfire around that size.

Suppose i'll just save more $$$. I may be getting a 'cocker for my bday hopefully, so it'll have to run on antisiphon co2 for a while.

Oh well.

the 72/3000 is going to be huge, a 68/4500 would be a better choice like others have said. pure energy, cross fire and 3A are good tanks. look on ebay for a 3A tank, you will find a cheep one there
