i might have a chance to play PB in a school down the street from my house. its really big and would be so cool. i dont know what i would have to do... there might be a lot of paper work and stuff but i think it would be totally worth it. but how far should i go? what if we needed to pay a whole bunch of money? would it still be worth it... i bet the senerio play would be really fun too. o by the way the school is closing and i think they are demolishing it so thats why i had this idea ... its not like we would break in on the weekend and then have teachers and stuff come in on monday and freak right out, althuogh that would be kind cool too
any way, your thoughts? (note: i posted this in the new player form befor but i relized now that i should have put it here)

i say go for it, it shouldnt cost you any money seeing as they are
demolising it to begin with. you probably just need permission
from the principle/workers/super intendent or w.e

You need to speak with your local authorities and check if it is legal to play in town. Good luck, sounds cool.

Yes, Definitely check with the local authorities!
All it takes is somebody nearby to hear the sounds, and see people
running around with 'possible firearms' for the police to show up.
Then, when you pop around a corner to hit somebody on the other side,
the unsuspecting cop (with weapon drawn, based on what he's hearing),
puts you into the earth.
It's happened too many times. I remember when I was a kid, an eight year old got blasted playing lasertag...

Hehe that'd be cool. But I would check with the authorities first though because someone might report hearing gun fire in the school and then the cops send in SWAT possibly and your A## gets balsted with automatic gunfire. So please for everyone's sake check with the authorities. But I would definitely go for it. And make a deal with a cop that if you like an extra gun and Co2 tank that he could buy his one Paintballs then play with you and your friends. I've heard of paintballers playing against SWAT and the cops before. btw the paintballers won.....hehe.

lol, yeah .... i would check with the police and stuff ... but up here in Canada ppl dont just get guned down. we live in a little town 2500 ppl and the police chief cant carry a gun cause he beat his wife. so i wouldnt be to worried about that, yes the cops have guns, but i'm almost 100% sure that they dont have bullets because they cant afford them. (btw not even kidding about the police chief, he has no gun)

I wouldnt do it PERIOD! and why take a chance, is yer life more important than playing a scenario in a old abandon school...think of the possibilities of yerself gettin wasted by the local PD, you know they have rookie cops cruisin around itchin fer a "real gun fight" wit someone or a cop whos havin a bad day.
Ive seen and heard bout too many kids pulling out a toy gun at the cops and get blown away and if you did ask permission from the local authorities, you'll know what theyre gonna say and it aint "yes".
What you should do really is ask the cops if they have ever tried a scenario involving the use of paintball guns.....I know the Los Angeles Police Dept has their own scenario paintball team.

Go for it, make sure its cool with the cops, maybe sign a waiver stating that if you get hurt no one will be held responsible, we had something like that over in Eugene, Oregon, they were gonna demo this old Hotel that had multiple floors, one of the local PB fields jumped on it and organized a "hostage rescue" scenario for it, I didn't get to make it but i heard it was an awsome turnout and they got the OK from everyone first, including ol' "I beat my wife cause i can't afford any ammo"

i agree that you should check with local authorities, but i seriously doubt that anybody could here a paintball gun from inside an inclosed building. Better safe then sorry, but chances are you wouldnt get cought anyways.

there was an abandone women's correctional facility that i played in once but now it's some kind of reserve officer training place
it was alot like a school we just played in the courtyard and halls the cells and most rooms were locked or sealed off. There was a kid that found a cart and jumped on it shooting as he rolled stomach first down a hall... he got so lit up
good times... now it's hard to find a good forest to play in that we havent been banned from. thats what happens when you live in suburbia and old cranky fat people call the cops even if they see you from the backyard of their house across a lake completly out of range, and make up stupid stories about being shot at. most cops are cool with us it's the people that dont like other poeple having a good time that mess it up for everyone.

Thats cool^^. We have also been playing on a island in town (near my house). Its like 100m long and 45 m wide .... or 250-350 ft long and like 50-75 ft wide. It fun, but will be alot better if we can get some bunkers/barriers made. We're going to use some plywood for bunkers. Any one know what else we could use?

yeah but the cops here a wierd ... some of them are cool, but some of them are real pricks. my dad and i were towing a boat the other day and bringing it back from the car wash (long story shot) we didnt have seat belts on when this cop car went by. we went down a side street (just cause thats the way we were going) and we thought we lost him. but he found us two blocks later. (only one block from our house). he wanted to know why we didnt have seat belts on. we were telling him we had just gotten in the car. dad didnt have his licence with him and the cop was going to give him a ticket so i ran the block home and back with his wallet and stuff. lol the guy was a real prick. we got off, but later my dad told me that about ten years ago the cop pulled over an 60yr old farmer for impared driving and they ended up getting in a fight and the 60 year old piss drunk guy kicked this cops ass, he left town because he was so embaressed. the 5-0 here suck (read the other post about the chief not having a gun) ... i should be the chief... at least i can use a gun
