I just watched both of them since I have the day off school(due to flooding).  They have very similar plots, but I would definately say Man on Fire is better, Punisher was kinda perdictable.  If you have seen either of these please post comments.

If you like punisher (i havent seen it, i just think it looks simillar to another movie) You should watch any of The Crow movies, they are very good.  I was planning on seeing Punisher, just never got around to it.

I thought Man on Fire was way better.

Punisher was horrible. Even the original was better. The comic cant be beat.

The Crow is also pretty good.

The FIRST Crow movie was decent.  The second one was so bad I didn't even bother finishing it.  Did they actually make more?

They both sucked pretty hard.....I'd say The Punisher was slightly better if only that I can give it some leeway because it's a comic book movie.

I saw "Man on Fire" and I loved it, I just bought the movie, I thought it was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time, no stupid parts, no cheezy special affects, although the beginning was kind of slow, but it showed why a guy who didn't know a little girl for very long would go and give his life for her.  Also the fact that it was a true story blew me away.

Raw Deal with Arnold Swarzenegger was as close to the Punisher as anyone will get.

i saw them the same night, good old block buster. there was nothing special about the punisher, just another shoot um up revenge movie. on the other hand man on fire left me in aw, it was really a great movie. it was awesome from the music to the acting to the plot.

Man on Fire was really good.  I liked the ending because you don't really know what happened.  It kind of leaves you to guess if they killed him or not...

Man on Fire was awsome, and beats the Punisher movie.  But the Punisher comic rocks everything, and the first "the Crow" movie was pretty sweet.

I like the orginal DEATH WISH!! I'm a huge Punisher fan, and if they stuck to the comic version they would have hada much better movie.   I just seen Man on Fire and its over rated. The ending fell short. Another good movie was Road to Perdition with Tom hanks
