The barrel is my own 12" j&j ceramic (now 8" ) with a custom supressor I built for it. Just finished painting it yesterday, decided to show pics!
Heres my steel braiding job I did on my x-chamber

And my crossbow scope, not mounted on A5 yet:

Tell me what you think! Specs in my sig.

Looks ok, but I don't think the scope is worth. It is a nice scope mind you.

Good luck with the scope. I've had thoughts about doing the same thing on occasion, since a crossbow has similar range to a marker, so a crossbow scope is better suited than a rifle scope. It's the maganification that makes it hard for quick target aquisition, thus the reason many guyus use red dots which have no magnification. FYI, they do make crossbow red dots with four dots, to adjust for range. Anyway, let us know how it works out for you.

Right now, I have no intention of using the scope on my A5, unless I find something decent to mount it with. I picked up the BSA crossbow 4x32 scope almost brand new for $35, and not knowing whether I would use it or not I couldn't pass up the chance . You can see from the pics I don't have the iron sites on my A5, I took them off because I dont use them. So, if I had the scope mounted, I wouldn't use it to aim either. I play mainly woodsball, so I think the scope would be useful for scouting out terrain, spotting for enemies deep in foliage, etc. Keep the opinions coming! I'm thinking of getting an egrip as my next upgrade, with palmers stab after that. As far as mods/cosmetic/milsim upgrades, what should I add next?

No thanks... I despise drops .
The supressor is made out of PVC, hot-glue, tape, foam, and paint. It
may sound cheap, but its incredibly rugged. The paint job is what I'm
most proud of, 3 layers of black enamel, let dry for 30 hours, sanded
with 600 grit, then 3 layers of flat black paint, then rubbed with a
soft cloth. I could scrape needles against this thing and it wouldn't
harm the paintjob. I'm creating a guide for modding your current barrel
to a supressor/silencer type barrel at the A5 owners group, I can post
a link here if anyones interested.
I'm thinking of using some black tubing (what Trippin mentioned doing) to cover the steel line and my adaptors to give it all one solid color scheme. Any ideas on what I could use for this?

Not a bad start at all. As for the scope though. If you want it on the
marker, go for it but with goggles on it's useless except for looks. A red
dot scope is much more effective and looks cool too. You can pick up a
nice BSA in the sporting goods section of Wal-Mart for about $30.00.
Adding to the top of the marker will change the looks of it substantially
and isn't that why we add to them?
Good start, very good start.

that "silencer" is not designed or threaded for a real gun... and its permanently fixed to the barrel... you don't need a batf tax stamp for a fake silencer... and its not intended to muffle the sound in anyway...

Some people are just born stupid, You know what I'm taking about Keithx. NO you do not need to register a fake silencer with the BATF therefore you do not need to pay the $200.00 dollar fee or fill out backround/registration forms to get one or make one. You may infact put a fake silencer on a real gun as long as it does not in any way or shape quite the noise of the bullet exiting the gun. They (fake silecers) may even be put short barrel rifles to extend the barrel of the rifle to the 16'' rule/law enforced by the BATF to make it legall to own with out the BATF blessings. So go ahead and put any silencer you want on your A-5 it looks great man. Oh and Keith is right if you do indeed have or want to put a fake Silencer on a SBR you must make sure the fake Silencer is attached to the barrel permanently.

Thanks keithx, JaketheSnake. If by adding this fake suppressor did
anything by modifying the sound, it made it a lot louder (shorter
barrel, sealed porting). I think I'm going to sell my scope to my
friend for the same price I bought it for... I have no plans on using
it, and it would look a bit awkward on my gun.

Hey I'm not trying to crap on LbLpunk, But COME ON! a fake silencer on a paintball gun does and has not needed certification by the BATF ever. red_LED you A5 looks awesome. I bought one with a response trigger from my local Pball shop came with a lifetime warranty and have Never got the chance to play a game with it yet. I has sat under my bed for about 2 year now I only took it to the Pball field to test fire it twice just to get the RT working well. I kinda strayed back into my first love firearms again. I could have fixed up my A5 just recently but instead droped $500 + on a M1 garand and some ammo and bandoliers. I have no regrets to this day
