Ok well i did a report about my fav sport for gym and i said paintball.... but my stupid gym teacher said paintball isn't a sport..... i said it was becasue it has three main parts: its fun, competitive, and it gives you a work out. Well he didn't beleive me so i got a b- :( but anyway.... i told my mom and my sis overheard it and she agreed with my gym teacher and she said its a stupid game and its only for "ratbags." Well i shot her that day after she said that and i got in trouble but nevermind that... i just don't get it why people don't think its a sport.... see my sister has played but she got shot in the butt and she hates it soo... i don't know about her lol but then some poeple say its an "outdoor sport" soo i'm like what? hahah i think its a sport..... what ya think?

It is a sport, because it involves teamwork, pyshical activity, and is competative. People are just ignorant about the benifits of playing and decide to label it with a bad name. If they knew it developed teamwork, and increased pyshical fitness level, than it would grow more, and become more widely considered a sport. ------------- |

Who cares. Anyone that insists on calling it a sport is probably the same deluded idiot that thinks paintball will be "better" in some unexplained way when it gets on TV and in the olympics and other nonsense. -------------

there was a post , about a month back on just this topic , maybe you could do a search and find it still . I believe, by the definition of what a sport is , that Paintball qualifies , it has national organizations , is sanctioned , has its own insurance ratings , , has professional and amatuer players . It qualifies , Yes.. But your behavior , makes it hard for the rest of us to keep paintball what it was intended to be , played on the field , not on Yer sisters Arse ... To me and 9 million and counting paintballers say that paintball is a sport....an extreme sport at that. If its a hobby, then we're all wasting our money and time. ------------- Do not steal....the government hates competition!

there are pro leagues so its def a sport. i wouldnt drag paintbll down with the "this crap isnt a sport" stuff without bringing crap like golf with it -------------

Sniper, according to the dictionary term, isn't shooting from far away, dictionary.com says "One who shoots at other people from a concealed place." That is a double edged sword, or this dicsussion if you rather. There are differetne certain degrees of paintball, from recball to complete pro where you do nothing else but sleep, eat, and drink paintball. I still honsotly think it is a sport, While sprots are hobbies and Hobbies can be a sport. It's like saying, All insects are bugs, but not all bugs are insects. ------------- |

who cares? honostly? does it make it any less fun if its a hhobie? I work on my truck as a hobbie...its still fun.

| It all depends on how much you play paintball, if you go out of your way and make time for it then its more of a sport for you, however if you play when you have time and only when theres time its a hobby. All I know is, getting it on TV or in the olympics wont make it better, why watch other people play when I can go outside and play with other people. |
