not everyone has parents like yours that are just going to shell out hundreds of dollars for a hobby, just so you dont throw a temper tantrum in the store. so shut up, and go get a life.

maybe the kid should get a better paying job then. He is better off saving up about $75 and buying the 98 Powerpack.

hmm...tell him to check out Wal-Mart. when i first started playing that's where i got my first gun. In fact, that's where all my friends got their first guns. now we moved up to Tippmanns and Spyders and everything else. but Wal-Mart was a good place for a first maker until you decide wether you want to stick with paintball. if he knows he will stick with paintball, it wouldn't be a bad idea to wait a little longer to save up some more money and get a better gun.

Paintball is an expensive hobby. If he is thinking about playing regularly, then this is what your friend should get.

Otherwise, he would be better off renting.

i suppose if you're DESPIRATELY wanting a gun and pack under 100 bucks, get the VL Orion. most people say they suck, which i would kind of agree with, but my friend has one and it's not bad for what you can get them for. good luck.

Hello?

My friend just wants to start out paintball.  I dont think he wants to spend $1000 on his first gun.  Hes looking for a pack in the $100 range.  Hes considering a Tippmann power pack.  He has like $250 saved up and he could buy a spyder xtra pack, but he doesnt want to spend all $250 just in case he doesnt want to continue paintball.  He can buy anything in the $100-$200 range.  Please, constructive advice only.

P.S:  Retards like rockerdoode make fun of people who dont have the best equipment.  I bet he still has a $20 paintball blowgun.

Has your buddy considered a Tippmann Pro/Carbine.  There awsome guns right out of the box and are quiet possibly the most durable/reliable markers out there.

You can get a decent setup for around $190 from www.countypaintball.com

I actualy sold a hopped up 98c (MANY upgrades) to keep my at the time bone stock Pro/Carbine.

They're not great, but for under $100 the Rebel line of markers could get you into the game. The cheapest ones we sell are $56, which leaves room for a tank and a cheap mask.
