Me and my friend are thinking about starting a little money making adventure. We thought about gettin like a 24 pack of Mt. Dew for like 4 bucks and taking it to school and selling them for 50 cents a pop during lunch. All our school has is gatoraid and stuff like that and like one coke machine that doesn't work most of the time so we should be able to make some money at it. Any thoughts? Any one done anything like this before? Any tips? Discuss> -------------  |

My friend sold candy bars out of a shoebox last year. He could sell 100 bars a day, for a dollar a pop. Even though they were really only valued at like 50 cents because he bought them in bulk. You could try that. |

you spelt genius wrong...... It could work, but you really have to keep it on the DL. I agree with Benjichang, if a staff member finds out, say goodbye to your scheme. You could just not let many people know its actually you, just like 6 people or something, and then people buy the stuff through them..... ------------- If you really suck, dont even try |

lol,this would be so cool if you could set up an entire under ground selling market at your school without the staff finding out about it. Heh. When my class held school dances, a buddy of mine and I would go buy a bunch of those 5 stick packs of gum for 25 cents, then break the packs open and sell each individual stick for 25 cents. thats 100% profit. And the morons bought it every time. ------------- ? |

I kinda do the same thing at my school. In my area of California (Irvine) there are alot of asians and Ive found this Japanese candy called Hi Chew that everybody loves (asian starburst) and i sell it at my school. I buy it for .69$ at an Asian Market and then sell them for 2.0$ a pack..good money. Glad your doing it too! -------------

A kid made about 300-400 bucks a month selling candy at my school... when the faculty found out he got suspended for 30 days.

I used to do this with candy in middle school. I'd buy stuff for 3/$1 and then i'd sell them for $.75 each. It turned me a decent amount of money at that time. Once a salesman always a salesman. Right now I'm thinking about starting the same deal only on a large, less candy, and more adult scale. Wholesale here I come -------------

Crack would be a better investment.
First you give out small free samples to all your friends. Then when they come back for more of it, you then sell it to them and since your the only supplier, you can charge whatever you wish. There is your ticket to success. -------------

Well, we could do other pop too. I like the candy bar idea as well. Oh and I can keep them cold. I have access to a lot of little freezer bag things that you freeze and they stay cold forever so I'd just use them. Oh and thanks for the spell check....lol...I wasn't thinkin.... ------------- |

The best thing to do is to figure out a way to sell Ramen. By my house, you can get 7 ramens for a buck, sell them for a buck a piece and your getting $7 for what you spent $1 on...Too bad no one would really buy it... ------------- irc.esper.net #paintball |
