i'd say the Honda 450 R. it's like the 400 EX but a lot better. or maybe it's the Honda sporttrax 500 R. something like that. otherwise my uncle has a 250 EX and rides it more than any of his other fast four wheelers. he loves the torque. you can ride weelies with it by just applying enough throttle(not much at all). i also like the kawasaki 700 prarie. they're awesome. you can use it for work and play.

Yamaha blaster. Trick it out, make it good on your own instead of out of the box power.

My son recently bought a 4-wheeler. He didn't like the Honda because it doesn't have a reverse gear. He didn't like the Yamaha YZ450 because it was a kick-start only. He wouldn't consider a Polaris because everyone he rides with says Polaris sport bikes are junk. I don't know why he didn't want a Raptor. He ended up buying a new Suzuki Z400 and loved it so much that he bought a used, but like new, Suzuki Z250 for his wife and daughters to ride.

Yamaha makes the best sport quads around, IMO. Think of it: the Banshee, the Raptor, and now the YFZ450. All the fastest quads of their time. Polaris is junk! I'd say buy a used, good condition Banshee. They are almost as fast as a Raptor, are faster with upgrades, and handle better too. Raptors sit kinda high.

oh yeah. also look at dirtbikes.

if you have never ridden a dirtbike before get like a honda CRF230 or CRF150.

if i had $5000 i would personaly get a kawasaki KLX300(its ok but might have too much for a person if there new to riding bikes. thats if you have never ridden a dirtbike)

or if you like 2 strokes theres the KLX220 or KLX200

Yamaha Banshee.  Secksi.

For dirtbikes-

Yamaha Motocross anything.

Suzukis are nice, and so are KTM's.

Im not a fan of Hondas or Kawasakis.  Hondas break down alot, atleast for the people i know who have them and Kawasakis are over priced and of a poorer quality.

You mean the KDX220 and KDX200, not KLX.

Plus my KDX220 owns a KLX 300 on a drag.
