A-5 is better all the way for more reasons than I am about to mention...

PS welcome to the sport of paintball, and if this is your first gun, if you have the money, go for the A-5, but if you are on a more limited budget get a 98custom or pro carbine, both have ups and downs. HAVE FUN, ANY GUN IS BETTER THAN NO GUN !!!!! if you have a chance to hold those guns above, go to a store and just put them to your shoulder and see which you like best, but also look at their stats, |

welcome to the sport for one... if you need anything just pm.....now back to your topic.. i say tippmann 98 custom...(i dont like the feel of the a-5) it a GREAT starting gun that what i had..and i still have it..i am selling it in a day though..and who i say the tippamnn 98 becuase it is reliable....nothin really to break it is a "tank"..once you feel the need to upgrade you have a HUGE section to up grade to....more fire power...rt e-bolt. almost all barrle are made for it, you can get stocks ect... but go to your proshop and hold both the marker a-5 and 98 custom and see what you like better ------------- Mag shooter |

dont get an a-5 they suck just get a 98 custom i got one they are relly good guns. the a-5 chopes the balls over and over an over the a-5 is a waste of $$$$$$$$$$$ ps:never get a spyder all of them suck ------------- http://www.imageshack.us">

the 98c or the a-5 is a great marker to start out with. they are both very durable and can be upgraded fairly easily later. the a-5 cost a little more, but you get what you pay for. the pro-carbine is ok to start out with. a friend has one and he loves it. the only down side is that it is harder to find upgrades. ------------- NASA and the Americans spent millions of dollars and hundreds of hours to develop a pen that would write in space.....The Russians used a pencil. |

I've owned both(not very long but I have) I had a E-a5, and a Rt-98c there both OKAY guns but a Pro/Carbine can do just as good as the other 2 with 1/2 as many upgrades. All a Pro/Carbine needs is a new barrel, and possibly a new trigger spring and it can compete with most any mechanical Blow-Back Gun. -------------
