I am planning on installing a bi-pod on my flatline barrel. I am asuming that because the shroud is hollow, I shouldn't hit anything if I attach it with a self tapping screw. Does anyone see a problem with this? I am not asking about the bi-pod, its going on regardless, I just want to know if it will be safe to drill through the shroud? Thanks P.S. I know this has been a topic before, but no one asked about drilling a hole through the shroud. So I DID check first. | Well I take it your attaching Piccatinny rails to the shroud correct? There is a chance of hitting the barrel so I would disassemble the barrel first. Also when you are drilling use a drill press, you'll be happy you did. |

Actually by the looks of it, it just takes a single bolt, or self tapping screw. The mount itself fits perfectly around the shroud. A rail isnt needed to use a bi-pod on a A5 Flatline, someone in the marker gallery has a bi-pod on his A5 Flatline. ------------- Do not steal....the government hates competition!

I think using a rail would be the right way to do it but thats just me. That way you can take it off easily and add other things like grips, lights, ect. |

Thats true but, havin a rail on a A5 Flatline shroud is overkill, Ive seen one on a A5 Flatline shroud...its not very appealing. ------------- Do not steal....the government hates competition!

u can get a flatline shroud with ether 3 or 4 weaver rails on it at www.bp-usa.com and then attach like a harris bipod then use the other rails for a flash light or a laser. u could also put rail covers on them too ------------- Tippmann a-5 Flatline car stock swatforce red dot raised sight rail micro cap to be added: m249 stock sling harris bipod laser kit weaver rail shroud mag kit r/t total support!!! |
