What is the best barrel upgrade?  and i dont want a flatline (theyre fugly).  cost matters, but is not a deciding factor.  Would be for an A5- woodsball.  Am not an every weekend, 10 different fields kinda player- so i dont think i need a kit...

meh i think the flatline adds a little more variety to the mix on the looks end. all the other barrels are just these strait usualy plack tubes with some holes and the ocasional little decorative thing. If you want a barrel that works best in the enviornemt you play in i would say get a flatline. if you just going for a certain look go and look at pictures of the other barrels because someone just telling you a name doesn't let you know how it looks.

i always look for functionality and then looks

i hate when people judge the flatline by its looks. you prob dont even understand the science behind the slight bend in the barrel. but whatever to each his own. just dont judge it for its looks, thats the stupidest reason not to buy it.

I vote for the Ceramic. I have Bigshot too and like the Ceramic a lot more. It's just as accurate but a lot quieter. Perfect for woodsball. And it only costs 35 bucks compared to the Bigshot's 55 dollar price tag.

IMO a Boomstick, but that's if you have the funds. The Lapco is a great budget pick.

I don't get why a Boomstick, or a Bigshot would be better than a J&J Ceramic barrel.  They are all pretty much exactly the same, the paintball travels through the barrel at the same speeds and everything.  The only difference is that the J&J Ceramic self cleans.  I reccomend the J&J Ceramic because you might get more breaks in the barrel than usual, because it's in the winter, and the paintballs will be more brittle.  Also, it's cheaper than most other barrels.

You can find it for $33 http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=AI3OWZm0W3rOG9jeCEUO8ZMSCKALkAK2bh4=?ProductID=nW%2esFAY7hY0AAAD6v%2e%2eQuqsG - here

no, it's 12 and 14 who have no performance difference. 16 and up make the performance worse.

I'm gonna change my opinion say get the Flatline. I don't know why you dont like how it looks but you should not get it for that bt for how it performs. And it really kicks ***.
