Ok i am interested in starting a paintball club at my school...has anyone done this or know of people who have...any ideas. hm that is really stupid cause as long as he has it in the car not walking into school with it he should be fine. god i hate security people they tend to think there cops -------------

Hate to break it to you but A. The car was on school property and because B. Guns and weapons of any sort are not allowed on school property, C. i have tried to start such a club and ppl have in the past years at my school and the administration says no clubs that relate to "violence".... ur lucky if ur adminis. lets u -------------

you can advertise a after school paintball club, of course you won't be able to play it in the school grounds. so in other words no you can't do that, it wouldn't work. ------------- if it moves it becomes a target and snipers don't exist in paintball!! get that in your heads people!! There was a good articile in May issue of APG....tried to find it on thier site but couldn't so I'll summarize it for you. 1.explain how paintball teaches life skills like discipline and integrety, also it teaches initiative, sportsmanship and team work. 2.Boys and girls are on an even playing field unlike most sports 3. Paintball encompasses physical and mental traits 4. Violence Issue: Direct physical contact is not allowed unlike football where direct violence is is brought with every play. 5. Dangerous? Safer than most other sports. Insurance statistics show that 18 out of every 100 football players are sen't to the emergency room. A paintball player is sent to the ER .02 times per 1000 exposures(In other words you would get hurt once about every 500 games. 6. Image: paintball marker and firearm are completely diffrent. A gun was meant for killing and a paintball marker is meant for fun. That is a basic summary..again i wish i could post a link to the actual article but couldn't find it....hope this helps. Yo, my team and I started a paintball club at our high school. First we asked student council and they said okay and then went to a teacher that would like...lead/organize it, then we found Mr. Svendsen(the coolest teacher alive) and he said he'd do it and now we get together after school on Thursdays to plan for the weekend and we get like...50 people to play every weekend. Everyone is welcome that has their own equipment. Its been working smoothly and the school has no problem with it but we cannot bring our stuff onto school grounds. ------------- I'm going to the darkside... |

I go to a Private millitary school - Florida Air Academy - and i can find over 30 people that want to start a club, i've tryed doing research on injuries and stuff like that becauase i has been turend down in the past by the owner. but his main concern is liability and stuff so if any of you have advice on how to get around that let me know |

the wierdest club that was in my highschool was the nerdy gamers club. nerdy kids played nerdy games and used the club as a way to buy games and the such tax free. the reason i bring it up is twice a year we would do fundraisers like console turneys and such but we wern't alowed to have games that had guns in them if we wanted to hold the event at the school. so we said screw that and would have a halo party at my house. Basicaly if you want to have a club dont try to get it associated with the school. just have it be kinda an official list of people to play paintball with and if you do get together do it at someone's house. schools dont take nicly to anything gun related. I could see them letting you put up little signs and stuff. But i would not put the word gun on it. if needed use the word marker. you can use the school to find people to play with but dont try to make it something that is dependant on the school alowing it |
