I'm planning on purchasing a 68 Carbine, and I was curious to know about people's experience with them. Any reliability issues? I know it's a Tippmann, but hey, no gun is perfect. Any input is appreciated. Thanks! -------------  |

The 68 Carbine is well nearly indestructable. They are simply put the most durable/reliable markers ever made. They also perform really well right out of the box and are one of tippmanns best quality markers. yo there so reliable u could like trow it off a sky scraper run it over with a car and u could still......well not shoot it but u could admire it for all its been through? neway its a really good gun

I picked one up at d-day for next to nothing and I played with it once so far. It seems like a very solid gun to me, I highly doubt it will ever break on me. The only things I didn't like were that the elbow seemed kind of flimsy (buying a metal one to fix this), the barrel was crap (I expected that), and the trigger is incredibly heavy compared to more modern tippmann guns. While these aren't really serious issues I'd be much happier using the gun if they were corrected and I think it could be an excellent gun after these modifications. I'm considering getting a stiffi barrel for it (heard good things and saw one in action), a metal elbow, and tinkering with the trigger springs when I have time. i used to have a 68. i loved it!u cant go wrong.i just keeps firing in the worst condictions ------------- Alot of people these days play speed-ball and have superspeed gun.If you are one of the few pump players left,put this as ur sig. -Phantom 45* grip t-stock 20 round center feed 12 gram changer |

Any Tippmann is a peice of work. I love my Pro-Lite, and the 68 carbine is a very reliable and durable peice of Paintball History. Like one of the forumers daid yes its a tank, I ran my pro-lite over once (dont ask) and that thing never performed any less. I would recommend a 68 over a n A-5 call me crazy but i love the old guns.

I'd like to get all of the older ones. So far I have a 98c, an A5, SL-68II, and a 68 carbine. Hopefully I'll be able to find the rest of them in good condition/new. The only one I don't plan on getting is the model 98 because it's basically the same thing as the 98c. I almost got a pro carbine at d-day this year but got the 68 carbine instead because it's so hard to find, especially new. It was half price that day too so I got it for the price of a BE gun. I would've come home with a zeus G2 also but they sold out of them by the time I got to the tent  . Some crazy guy actually bought the zeus kit with the stock and all that crazy junk for a few hundred bucks. sorta like clownshooter, i have a Pro/Carbine and a 68 Carbine searching for a pro lite, so that has to tell you something! I've played with my friend's shockers, automags, and even the "Ultimate" Angel, but i still prefer my Carbines over all of them. I personally love the heavy feel and especially the heavy trigger pull(i'm like, one out of everyone else  , everyone else wants a lighter trigger pull, i find it kinda funny! Me i mean, not them...) so yeah, get the Carbine. They Are Sweet Tanks!------------- I'm Anything But Ordinary

| i agree with all f you they are great guns i have a 68 and an A-5 and my A-5 is used by my friends half of the time because i take y carbine i love that thing to death and wouldnt trade it for anything (except for a corvette Z06) |

I love my 68s they can fire well in high humity with no problems. 68s shine in woodland game play. these cocker clones do well for speedball but a tippmann in the woods can beat them with a quarter the ammo. On a personal lvl The metalic sound of each round firing like the sound of a M1 rifle at end of a clip is so relaxing. lot better then the sound of a moped motor on these other things. I have two 68 carbines with CVX valves and one 68 with the older pro-lite style valve. They are quality built and very reliable markers.
