Indefinatly

Accuracy is great
it is super quiet
and it cleans itself out if for some reason you do chop a ball
Oh and for its price it is a steal

any new 98 barrel is designed to fit in the 98 and 98c. the two guns do have different threads, but the newer barrels will fit both.

Yeah, great barrels, you should get one.  I don't know why people keep saying to get a Lapco Bigshot over the Ceramic though, when the Bigshot has no definate advantages over the Ceramic.

I want a new barrel preferably the Ceramic, but i was wondering what size could i get to be able to have rapid fire plus decent accuracy.  Or can i have only one or the other.  Also i will mostly play woodsball maybe occasionally speed ball.

i dont want to tell you to get anything you dont want but flatlines are really good for woodsball also like u said the ceramic is good and bigshot. if you want to spend more money evil pipe kits are dope.

I would reccomend a 12" over a 14" then, roughly about the same accuracy as a 14", but just a very small bit less, wouldn't be noticeable with the accuracy difference.  It would be good for snap shooting, which you could be doing in both speedball and woodsball.

I own both the bigshot and the ceramic. Both are cheap and accurate but I think the bigshot is just a little more accurate than the ceramic. It's not a huge difference but it's enough for me to prefer the bigshot. For example, let's say the bigshot lands 8 out of 10 on target in a given situation, the ceramic would probably land 7 out of 10. Not a huge difference but since I have both and can use whichever I want, I go for the bigshot. However, I'm not in tears if I have to use the ceramic, I still have great results with it. I actually use the ceramic on my SL-68II with a low power scope when I'm messing around doing target practice and it works pretty good. Sometimes it shoots dead on target and other times it's just a little off but it's generally pretty close to what I'm aiming for. Most other barrels are not much better but are significantly more expensive so I would recommend sticking to one of these two but this is your gun and your money so you make the call.

Do you use the same paint for both barrels? If so, that's the problem. They are different bore sizes and that would constitute the little difference. Obviously then, the Bigshot had a bore size match a little better than the Ceramic. If you use paint that matches both barrels perfectly, you'll get roughly the exact same performance. I own both barrels as well.

EDIT: Get a 12 inch over anything else. Less than that and you're losing accuracy. More than that and you're using more air to push the ball out of the barrel. I've heard that a ball needs 8in. to speed up in the barrel and 4 inches to stabilize for accuracy. And that equals 12 inches.

Somebody is exaggerating.  Nothing under $100 is better than an all american and nothing under $60 is better than a ceramic.  Ceramics are $34 of actionvillage.com and worth their weight in nitro.[not quite sure I understand that one].  But anyway the ceramic is the best bang for the $ by far.  If you change your mind and want something else for under $50 go teardrop, not bigshot.  I'd never replace the all american on my shocker or the ceramic on my brother's E-99.

Oh yeah: I assume you are shooting a tipp. right? R/t is the best woodsball firepower upgrade available, mine rips w/ a little @ home mod.

both the bigshot and the ceramic are about the same accuracy if you use the right balls. only the ceramic is quieter but it doesnt bother me.

You're wrong there. Have you ever even shot one? Or did you hear this?

I have a ceramic and I pretty much ONLY shoot '35 bucks a case' paint and I get really good results. They're called Stingers. I  don't know if they're any good or not but they're cheap. Zap Rec series works good, Scorches work good. Most paint that has a good barrel fit will fly good.
