Nah, the original was addicting, dont think of me as one of the multiplayer guys, im strictly campaign, Halo 2 is gonna add so much depth to the game. Half life 2 is gonna be awesome also. ------------- To the pope mobile!!

HALO is fun for like, 5 min. Easy controls and pretty cool multi games are about all the game has going for it. Story mode is lame as can be. -------------

Yes i played it, and i honestly think its one of the most overrated
crap games ever. The entire "difficulty" of the game is based on
shooting hordes of crap with horrible little thumbsticks. When you play
it on a PC its obscenely easy, you just point and click. The level design is absolutely horrible. Repetitive crap, no imagination, no scares, no exploration, just wander through the same rehashed rooms again and again. How can you say its not abot just shooting stuff? Thats all halo is, gunning down endless mobs of enemies. I could name better games all day. -------------

The only things I don't like about Halo is that the frame rate is slow
and that people rate it so high. I think Microsoft or whoever
made it put some crack in the case just to make people like it so
much...

I like Halo. I play it at a friends house, we do mulitplayer system
links and it's great fun. That's why I can't wait till Halo 2 comes out.

the whole point of a video game is for it to be fun and amuse the

I'm not really a big fan of single player game. I don't even own Halo, but Halo with 5-7 friends is awsome.. Infact I have 2 friends who got kicked out of there apartment because we where making so much noise playing halo. If you actually paid really close attention to the halo story and all the things 343 gs says it is one of the best stories ive ever seen in a fps. It also helps if you read the books . They are alot like enders game just alot more intense. In my opinion halo 2 will be the best shooter of all time. Doom 3 sucked so hard. I admit, I thought it was pretty good in the first few levels. But after a while it's just repetitive and monotonous. There really isn't any depth to it, and a lack of imagination. It just keeps going and going and going. Not to mention the fact that it didn't scare me at all. |

Heh, people trying to sound smart.
That's pretty funny, I'm sure what goes on in your mind is much more complex and intresting. Doom 3 has so many nooks and crannies that it took me about 2 times through the game to find 60%. And even if you begin to think of the storyline your brain will hurt, cause it's very complex and the hundreds of hidden PDA emails reveal it a bit every time.
If you took the time to actually play Doom3, with lights off, no TV no nothings, at night, alone. And on a system better than Pentium 2 Voodo3.
Both of you, go play Playstation.

Halos story is about the only thing it had going for it. Thats the only
reason i played it as far as i did, to find out what happens. But then when i got in the dumb area where every 20 feet you walk some window or grating busts open and about 4589347895634 monsters come at you, supposed to be scary, i just gave up and deleted it. I just scoff at anyone who would play something on console and call it the greatest game ever. Consoles immitate, PC games innovate. Did you know halo was originally developed as a mac game? The only reason microsoft even noticed it was because they decided to port it to PC as well. If you want to try other good games, try the marathon series from bungie, before they sold out. The only reason half the halo fans think its so great is beause microsoft threw millions of dollars into telling you the xbox is the greatest thing to ever be created by mankind. The fact that theres a staggering amount of PC games far and above better then halo or any other xbox game in EVERY respect just proves that the fanboys dont know a good game from a llama. -------------

I actually played Doom3. Athlon 2ghz, 1gb RAM, Geforce 5200. I played with the lights off, the sound up quite loud and all that jazz. The first few levels intrigues me, but as you go on it gets so monotonous and boring. Absolutely no progression in terms of skill required to beat the bigger levels. I got about 60% done with the game and decided it wasn't worth my time trying to beat it. |
