How come it isn't "appropriate" to make fun of Down's Syndrome folks, but ok to make fun of fighter pilots, cats, bullfighters, motorcyclists, women, baseball players, men, soldiers, children, deer, and so forth? I don't buy it. If making fun of some kid with Down's isn't "appropriate," then neither is making fun of some guy (apparently) smashing a cat, or a bullfighter suffering potentially serious injury, or anything else. It is an artificial boundary, and completely irrational. I challenge anybody to find a funny picture that is offensive to nobody. |
