i have been paintballin for 3 years now and i play in an area with a somewat deep creek that we use a small bit but it would be nice to completly submerge underwater.onlt to pop out to shoot someone.so have any ideas or ways to improve them post em.

I wouldn't reccommend it- get your (paint) balls wet and they might bulge up and not feet properly.Youc an submerge yourself with the marker right above the water easy enough- hide bhind a floating log or something. ------------- "Abortion is not "choice" in America. Even when the 98c is uncocked, water can still get in the hopper, remember the elbow feed that comes wit the marker....look if you want a gun that can function underwater, go get a harpoon gun! ------------- Do not steal....the government hates competition!

that's great. well i wouldnt put my gun under water. you can just use land. wanting to do that is like wanting to "snipe". it can be done, but its not very fun. its more fun to be in the line of fire and be taking out people. not sitting there and picking them off one by one.

I've heard that emags can submerge, somebody tell me if this is true or not. It would be sweet to attack from water. I haven't done this in paintball, but I was playing capture the flag once at this camp. The enemies area was surrounded by water on 3 sides. The game was getting nowhere so I put on my swim suit and swam around their area and grabbed their flag (it was right by the beach). Then I swam back and the game ended without them even realizing it. That sort of thing would rock in paintball. ------------- HELL IS ICE

the creek and fell in a hole and him and his gun went under. since his balls didnt get all bloated right away he did it some more and he had so many broken balls in his barrel and hopper after 15 mniutes i was pretty funny, the person that did it wasnt a 6 y/o newb either he was 15 and has been playing for over a yeah now -------------

you can always just put your gun in a garbage bag and tie it shut. the
first shot will bust the bag open and the second will hit target. but
you shouldnt go back underwater once you have busted the bag.

| Severe Atmispheres work great it water. i did a test put a gelatin / regular paintball and a atmisphere made out of starch or somthing it didn't change at all after one day. the other one was huge. i even took it out of the water and shot it perfectly they work great in the flat line to!!!!! only 35 bucks a case can't beat em so shut yall up |

u would need like a h&k P11 its made specifically to shoot submerged underwater but those u have to send back to h&k head quarters to get reloaded and they only carry 5 rounds other than that i guess a RAP4 would work maybe ------------- A-5 Flatline swat force red dot tapco scope mount micro cap next: ex. chamber solid stock |

Has anyone realized the fact that you CANT BREATH UNDERWATER?!!! If you can, then you find a submergible gun and go have fun. But for the air-breathing land-dwelling majority of paintballers, this is a useless argument. The if your gun ends up underwater, odds are your head is too. RAP4 (real action paintball) just came out with there Ak47 (.43 cal) and it can be fully submerged http://www.rap4.com - www.rap4.com ------------- 98% of paintballers act gangsta', if you are of the 2% that are normal, put this this in your sig. Damn rights! |

Well, getting back to the topic... It wouldnt be all that hard to waterproof your gun. If you got a full boar upgrade that would eliminate complications with your bolt and powertube because it seals the action of the 98. Then you would have to line the inside edge of the elbow with a thin piece of rubber to prevent leaking. You wouldnt have to worry about the barrel because 1. If you shot it while the gun was underwater nothing would happen 2. The chambered paintball should seal out water from your hopper. So, overall the full boar upgrade is pretty expensive but you'd need it to do it. Other then that you would just need minor tweaks. Of course this is all speculation... ------------- MajinKai |

What about water coming in the barrel, into the breech, then up the feed tube and filling your hopper with water? Then your balls swell and get stuck in breech and next thing you've got balls bursting all over the inside of your barrel.

I'm pretty sure the pressure of the air in the hopper along with the fact that there is already a ball in the chamber should prevent that. Besides, it takes a while for your balls to swell up. ------------- MajinKai |

| its easy. to make a waterproof hopper just put some kind of seal around the cap. as long as you keep the gun upright water cant go up because the air is stopping it, as if you where to take a cup and put it upside down under water the water wont go up into the cup. itll probably work because the little time that the ball leaves the hopper wont be enouph for it to swell |
