anyone with a pro carbine, can you tell me if you can reduce its trigger pull with a pen spring like you can with the 98 and a5?

No, I dont believe you can. The trigger system of the pro/ carbine is much more complex and invloved that the 98 custom or 98c. The sear pin, i believe, in the pro/carbine is indirectly connect with the firing spring. Actually the 98 and later uses a trigger with a trigger slider, and about 3 more pins. The only difference is the carb uses an extension spring instead of a compression spring. Just get a pen spring, bend out the ends, and stick it in there. -------------

Yup, that's what I did. That, and added the LAPCO double trigger. ------------- "We do it until our balls break!"

Yes, heres how: -Measure the trigger spring -Cut the spring down a loop or two. -Stretch back to the size that it was previously -Reinsert. Or you could just strenghthen your fingers. -------------

Too lighten the pull of a Pro-series gun is relatively easy. Take a SL-68II/M98 trigger spring(same part on both guns) and enlarge one of the end loops to fit the Pro-series trigger hook (it's a little larger that the SL-68II/M98 hook) and replace your stock trigger spring. If your local proshop doesn't have any call Tippmann. IIRC County also carries this spring.
Make sure that your ordering the M98 spring and not the 98C spring. The 98C uses a conpression spring instead of an extension spring and is not compatable. Aftermarket parts like stocks are not compatable between the 98 series, A5, and Pro-series. |
