| How long does it take to load songs to the iPod? My friend bought a Sony mp3 player and it takes forever for songs to transfer. Just wondering if this is the case in all players, or just some, I know mini-discs do it too. |

Does your friend have USB 2.0? My iRiver takes a second or two, depending on how large the file.

Yeah, this person is running windows 98, they were averaging a minute or two, much more on some per song.
I was just making sure that an iPod wouldnt lag like that if/ when I get one. Thanks, question has been answered. |

Yea on my Ipod Mini using USB 2.0 i loaded about 300 songs in about 2 or 3 minutes. -------------

I can load an entire album (15 songs?) onto mine in a matter of 3 or 4 seconds. -------------

I had 500 songs onto mine in a matter of maybe 5 minutes; that includes the time it took to pick and choose what I wanted, too. -------------
