Dident expect these kinds of replies lol i dont see any problem with it but my dad thinks only girls should have them 2 friends call me a **edited** cause im thinkin of gettin one lol none of thats gonna stop me if i do decide to though can anyone help me with a few questions?

I know when you get your ear pierced they do it with a stud and you have to keep it in for like 6weeks before you can take it out for any large amount of time but a friend of mine told me a few days after you get the stud in you can change the earring to a loop or w/e else you want is that a good idea or should i just wait the full 6weeks?

Have a large dagger sticking through your ear and see if you get the same results or go with the plates, like in National Geographic.

lol well they do it all in fun though they do both think guys shouldent have earrings dunno what i should do though its annoying dont wanna hear it the whole time i have an earring also dont wanna be the prude telling them to stop guess ill just have to be the prude though =/

lol thoughs are out of the question im 15 and had to convince dad to let me do this he and mom had sertent conditions 1: Nothing satanic or even closely satanic or anything "evil" 2: No crosses (Im christian so i dont really understand that one but i got a yes from him on the earring thing so i wasnt gonna push it) 3: no big loops like "zeros" or those half inch wooden things in my ears (dont want those anyways) i wouldent mind a normal zero but gotta wait till im old enough to do that without his permission lol

Well when you do get yer ears pierced, make sure you get the right ear...the left ear signifies that you swing on the other side of the fence

And to tell you guys the turth, I never understood why guys would want their ears pierced in the 1st place.

I vote "depends"... I figure it's OK if you're a pirate. Otherwise, leave the jewelry to the ladies (they hate competition in things like that!).

If you are worried about what it "signifies," then you shouldn't get your ear pierced, since the "correct" ear varies by geography...

I knew someone was going to end up saying that...

By far, that is one of the dumbest things that kids have made up...EVER!  (Well, not ever...tomagachies...those were bad...kids didnt make them up though, but its our fault for keeping them in business)

But serioulsy, dont worry about it, like clark said, if you have to worry about what other people think then you shouldnt get it done...

Not only is that stupid, you have it backwards....

Anyway, yeah, it's fine on some people. On some people it looks dumb, and I was debating getting rid of mine so I asked a few people and they all told me strongly not to, since it was just me... it would be odd without it...
So sure, why not?

I guess it depends on what the individual thinks.

I'd like to get my left ear done, but being that I'm a partner in a business, that doesn't register as a plus with out clients.

Way to be ignorant. Jewlery has nothing to do with sexual preference, get that in your head. It really depends on the person, some look stupid with piercings, let alone two, but some look kickass.

and no i'm not wrong... the right earing is a way to signal yourself to other people that feel the same way.... left just looks pimp :-) and by teh way if you really give a **** about what other people think of you than you don't deserve an earing... those of us with earings wear them with pride because we don't care what others think...

Depends on who you're trying to impress.

Most older people and the religious Right won't particularly like it and may get actively offended.

Most younger people either won't care or will like it.

Also depends on what kind of look you're going for and who you hang out with. Can be cool, but I think often it ends up being a failed (and trite) attempt to be different.

Are you truly suffering from the delusion that being homosexual makes someone a bad person? You can argue all sorts of things from "their parents didn't raise them right" to "late night sneaky uncle marred them for life", but none of the possible scenarios, including the possibility that homosexuality is perfectly natural, makes your comment appropriate.

If it's perfectly natural why is it that you don't see any other homosexual animals? I mean it's an animals instinct to feed, sleep, and reproduce...Humans just have a more complex brain and I do believe that it is a mental illness...and for the more extreme cases of homosexuality it seems that men act and talk differently...It's really hard for me to look at a "flaming" homosexual male and have someone tell me it's perfectly natural and they're fine...I'm not saying homosexuals are bad, I just feel it's a mental illness

i think guys with tongue rings look ghey....

if your going to get your ear pierced...get the left one pierced just to avoid all the retards who will see the right one pierced and try to make fun of you for being homosexual.

Not to turn this into a discussion on homosexuality, but...

So, if there were homosexual animals, then you would agree that homosexuality is natural?

It would open me up more to believe that there is homosexuality out there in nature and it's not just a mental illness found in some humans...So yes, it would help me believe a little more that homosexuality is natural

Well, then let me assure you - I have personally witnessed homosexuality among ducks, geese, dogs, squirrels, penguins, monkeys, and various other animals.  Anybody who says there is not animal homosexuality should visit my back yard.  I live in a freakin gey zoo.

EDIT - hmm.  The filter edited my link.  Grr.  Well, a quick search on homosexual animals will show a bunch of stuff.

Clark is right, many species of animals do have homosexual tendencies.

However, not to get off of the topic, ear rings are fine, if you want them then get them, no matter what ear they are in.

multiple reasons y i chose the left ear 1: because most people do see the right ear being pierced as a sign that your **edited** and like matt06 a plus to just gettin the left pierced avoids alot of un wanted attention and also keeps me from me getting mad i have anger problems so its a good idea 2: i have a freckle on my left ear right where you would get the piercing so it kind fit to get that 1 pierced lol 3: all my life i grew up with the right ear pierced means **edited** so i kinda formed the thought that the left ear was the way to go wether it is or not its planted in my mind

And on the homo/homo animals thing i can vounge(sp?) some animals are **edited** infact i have a **edited** dog who likes my straight dog im christian and dont believe "**edited**" is right i dont judge people by it or think their a bad person but i do agree i think their mentaly ill and as long as im a christian i will never approve

yeah i kinda agree. i think guys having ear rings is kinda weird. thats just my opinion though. dont think im against the person though. there was a person at my church camp that was a leader and had an ear ring. he was cool.

Its pretty common around here to have both ears pierced and sometimes then some. Most my students do and some of us older folks do too, we just don't wear the earrings (and other misc. rings) in our old age...
