What's the weirdest sport/ activity you have done in gym class?
We are doing "biking" right now. The bikes are pieces of crap, but who cares, its kinnda fun. -------------

biking? weird...We played frisbee football. I don't think it's an auctual sport, though? ------------- NASA and the Americans spent millions of dollars and hundreds of hours to develop a pen that would write in space.....The Russians used a pencil. |

oh well were really not aloud to do this but on the days that the boys lax team has practice... they take blue racket balls and lax sticks and lax masks and play dodgeball with them...but only when it rains and no one is usnign the gym. ------------- <no ginormous sigs please> |

all gym sports are dumb except floor hockey.i have never heard of biking as a gym sport.

oh yeah,once we placed reverse kickball. kick with left foot and you go to 3rd base instead of first. throw ball with left hand too.

We've done badmitton, team handball, line-dancing (wtf?), noodle
hockey (floor hockey with the pool noodle things), bowling, 10-base kickball, and this insane game called football. |

Enos , how can you hate gym we did omnikin ball, i bet all the canadians know what that is you take a gigantic ball like 4 and a half feet high and have your team hold it up as one person hits it, its dumb |

volleyball..may not seem that wierd. but when it s aguys only gym class you have to wonder why they are making 26 guys break into teams and play volleyball....

We played that crab ball game, but with an over-inflated kickball. We played hockey on little scooters (im not sure if that is what some of you were talking about). We played footsketball. It was basketball with lots of fouling and shoving in the grass, so you didn't have to dribble. | handball and the big red ball game(which the gym teacher denies all knowledge of). We play w/o shoes on the gymnastics mat set up in the gym and play with two goals set up lengthwise. Handball is basically like basketball mixed with soccer. We use a volleyball and you can't double dribble or travel or anything and with both games you must shoot from behind a 5' line for it to count. Unless the ball is thrown from beyond the line then another person can spike it in. the big red ball game(BRB) is similar, but we remove the goals and just using the edge of the mat as a goal, have three goalies, and you need to shoot from outside the line and bounce the ball in by slamming it off the mat(you can also have someone set it then spike it). The ball is one of those huge ones they use for physical therapy. This game is nuts because since the teacher normally doesn't allow tackling, you can tackle the ball itself, knock the other person flat on their arse, and it's still ok. This game usually has lots of physical contact and we've had chipped teeth, broken toes ect. Also,with all the people wrestling for control of the ball, by the end of class it's so covered in sweat and drool it's imposble to hold onto. Last week the gym teacher was out, so we played modified handball whee you didn't have to dribble and there was no traveling. It came out moe like rugby with full contact, even tackling and wedgie administration to underclassmen nowhere near the ball and everybody in the class played at once(like 30 people). This was insanly fun. |
