100% not a 98c.

I'd get a non vision stock impulse over an upgraded 98c.

I would definately say get an e-cocker, probably a superstock since its the cheapest one.  My brother has an e cocker and its wicked fast and nice.(no chops, no drop off(like impy's do))

Get a Impy or a Shocker. You could also get a Mini-Orrcale.

The reason I wouldn't get a Upgraded Tippy is because it's just to many things that could go wrong.

Too many upgrades=Too many problems.

Get like a Impy and be happy.

Tippmanns make the best woodsball markers hands down.  It depends on how fast you want to shoot and other factors.  A tippy will only shoot so fast no matter HOW many upgrades you put on it.  It will always be heavy (heavier with more upgrades most likely) and it's always going to be LOUD.  It also has the great range WHICH DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE in WOOOOODS BALL once the flatline is equiped.

If you want faster, quieter, and still woodsball durable ... Either a Cocker VF stated above, a Flatline cocker (accurate and flatline range, capable of firing faster than a Tippy) or and Automag.  Automags are VERY durable as well and can be upgraded to meet  both speedball and woodsball specifications.  Can't go wrong with a cheap Impulse either because they are pretty durable no matter the conditions.

Bottom line ... for $700 you need a speedball gun.  If you are spending that much you are really into paintball and will eventually cross over into speedball (I did, and I never thought I would admit it, but speedball owns woodsball) where your super stock tippmann won't stand a chance.  A speedball marker can hold it's own ANYWHERE, a true woodsball marker can't.

well im guessin u play woodsball from ur gun setup right now.  and in that case i wouldnt get another gun.  maybe an a5 or sumthin.

an autococker (which is what the orracle is) isnt really a woodsball gun and they are so hard to care for (trust me on this) that i wouldnt drag it around in the woods for anything

the rat impulse isnt a woodsball gun either.  its easier to care for than a cocker tho.  if u wanted an impulse i would just go with the basic.

out of the two new guns u listed i would say the impy but just a basic but i would just trick out the 98.

I looked into the shocker now. I may have made my decision. I love the sounds of the shocker sft. Now as for the woodsball. I've played and still do play both. I enjoy the pace of speedball and all but I live for woodsball. I think tippmanns are a good gun to start off your paintball carrer with but for me I wish to make an upgrade to a gun that can hold its own against almost any marker in any situation. My tippmann can't hold up with the markers my friends and people I play with. They own autocockers, impulses, Jt's and other high end guns. Getting hit by 10bps doesn't feel good. I got sick of it and went and bought the flatline, stock and remote so I could play farther away. I was kickin' ** edited ** for a while but now the other team attacks from several directions specificly for me. I want supperior fire power now. I can out wit almost any one in the woods. But once it becomes a fire fight, I LOSE!

I agree with the above.  A woodsball gun is only very effective in that type of scenario.  In woodsball games I have played, flatlines have provided limited advantages, such as distance.  In my opinion, accuracy isn't increased, but keeps a linear relationship with straight barrels (i.e. the farther your target, the less chance of hitting).  Another factor to consider is that paint may not break at those farther distances.  With the inherent high rate of fire of a speedball gun, not only will you keep up (at least) with the RT triggers found on tippmanns, you will be within legal rules of speedball games where CQB require high ROF firepower.

Or maybe keep the 98 custom and just buy a JT 6.0? What about that.
