people are asking about masks. to tell you the truth who cares about a mask. any mask will do. i dont want it to fog people are sayin. just buy a lense cleaner. its not that big of a deal.

i agree with roadrunner on this one i hate my mask but i can't afford a better one and i get yeld at by my friends when i can't see somone that i should have shot a minute ago. ------------- "know it alls annoy the ones that realy do" qouted by my best friend. when we where annoyed by know it alls. |

What??????? no, no, No, No, NO, NO Play all day, and an uncomfortable masks, now you have a headache, should have bought a V-Force. Someone sneaking up your side, is not seen, your bunkered, should have bought a V-Force. Mask fogs up, cant see anything, your done, should have bought a V-Force. Can't breath, uncomfortably hot, should have bought a V-Force. Comfort and visibility give a player an advantage beyond any other equipment factor involved. if you hava a bad mask i do but if you fog you end up takin it off in a game and wiping it and you put it back on it just fog right back up again, its a piece of crap you need a good mask to see better ------------- Mountain Dew + Duct Tape =

Masks are the best thing in paintball. They have to be you the whole game. Packs...nope don't always need them, gloves....go without, gun....you can even go without that and still win a game(I have quite a few times). Did you hear about the girl that died the night the Red Sox won the ALCS? Unless I am mistaken, she was shot by a pepperball which is basically a paintball. It may be shot at higher velocities but it still proves my point. ------------- Que pasa?

dude a mask i sooo much more important than anything else in paintball, if you have a bad mask that is uncomfortable or fogs up than you are going to have a lousy time.

i would rather have a piece of crap marker and i good mask then a piece of crap mask that fogs all the time then and an awsome marker! boy i should smack you. if you cannot see, you are no help to your team and you are endangering yourself. I would take being able to see and a pump 'gun over the best 'gun and fogged lenses (any day!!). So, when you buy your goggles, don't skimp. Get the thermal ones with a good field of view (if you already own goggles, go back and buy the thermal lenses for them). If you can, get a fan. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN HIT IN THE FACE??? well i have and I damn well knew that if i hadn't had my mask I would not have my right eye, don't say "hey I have got hit in the mask and i would have been fine.. huh.. huh. huh" cuz that is crap you would not be fine, if you get hit on bare skin by a paintball what will happen?? most likely you will get a bleeding painful welt, NOW TRANSFER THAT PAIN TO YOUR FACE WHERE YOUR SKIN IS MORE SENSATIVE ya thats what happens, I didn't mean to flame you but it is people like you who my mom and girlfriend percieve as everyone in paintball, I wear a mask because it is more important than any peice of anything I bring paintballing I make sure I have two things when i go A MASK and A CUP,
that is my two cents, and it probably was not a smart idea to log on when i was pissed off in the first place, then to read a post i dissagreed with,and then to reply to it |

Yea on the higher end maskes youll notice u actually have periferal vision. Its rad just try a good mask.

Actually, he's got something of a point. I get a lot of people telling me that I need to drop an inordinate amount of money on a mask. I posted a pic of my gear and got laughed at by someone because I have one of the older JT masks that I picked up from Walmart for 30 bucks. If it's comfortable, wear it regardless of the price you pay. My $30 'POS' mask does exactly the same thing that your $75 mask does. And the only thing I did to it was cut out a few small pieces right under the viso to allow a little bit more of an air flow through it, and I don't have any problems with it fogging unless it's a nastily hot day, which rarely occurs in upstate NY. I can't see spending more money on a brand name mask that does the same thing mine does for half the price.

I agree with Reb. Im still using my 6 year old PMI X-rays and IMO they are just as good as $80 Invison goggles. People ask me why I still use them and why I don't get better goggles, I just tell them that I don't see the point of spending $80 on new goggles when my old goggles fit fine, are comfortable and with the thermal lenses they don't fog up. -------------

Comfort and good vision are both very important in a mask....you can call me lazy, but I'd rather not have to keep cleaning my mask with lens cleaner all the time to keep them from fogging Posted By: FireboM

I ve used a very uncomfortable mask and when I was ajusting it
on my head and I got bunkered so you dont want an uncomfortable mask to distract you from the game. |
