Ok, mine suck, need new stuff.
I'm looking into http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productDetail.do?oid=86917 - Alpine head Unit
and
http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productDetail.do?oid=68326 - Alpine speakers
I'm pretty set on the head unit, but I'm unsure of the speakers. Dropping $120 is not something to take lightly.
So, I'm just looking for your thoughts on these things, and suggestions for anything better, without spending more money.

your best bet is headin to: http://www.caraudio.com - www.caraudio.com and head to their message forums, its a tippmann forum for car audio, great people there. really helpful.
otherwise, alpine is a great reliable company. i personally prefer kenwood, but i know alot of people that go for alpine.

I wouldn't get that head. Look for something that has a knob for track selection and another knob for Volume. Thats pretty much what sold me on my Eclipse head unit. I hate having to push a button to put the volume up, or change tracks. Turning a knob is far easier, and more convenient when driving.
But if you're set on the head, thats cool I suppose.

I have the CD3404. It's their bottom line CD player, but for my needs it suited me well. I'm happy with my selection as it has both knobs as I stated before.
This cost me around $180 about 7 months ago or something.
