Before i start, I am just asking for help.  Not starting a flame war, please keep the comments that do not relate to this topic to yourself or start your own thread.  Now with that said;

I figure what i would ask for christmas is;

Xbox
Xbox Live yearly subscription
Halo 2 (as before, keep them to yourself)
Maybe original Halo
Wireless controler
Memory card

Now my question is to you all, first off are wireless controlers really all that special?  My PS2 controlers dont serve as a large problem, but they do get annoying sometimes.  And my next question is, can i use a headset not intended for Xbox with it, IE My computer gaming headset?

About the wireless controler, they are great on xbox. I have never had any kind of problem with mind.

My friend was using one all weekend, it was sweet.

I am almost 100% sure you cant use your normal headset.

Thats what i was told at school too, darn.  Do they make headsets that have two ear peices instead of one?

I never liked wireless controllers they are just gimmicks unless you truly need an extension cord for your controller or need to move the console the ones I've used didn't have any range at all.

And yes you should be able to use any headset you want.

Unless you really plan on being at someones house all the time I wouldn't even bother with a memory card but thats just me.

Why am I not surprised that your post in this thread is completely worthless just like every other post you make?

Yeah, they are gimmicks, but they certainly aren't inconvenient.

Doesn't an xbox have like 40GB of memory alone? If it does, there would be no reason for you to get the memory card. I dunno about 40GB, but I know it has a lot...

Every XBOX Live subscription i've seen in stores comes with the headset because you also need the adapter that goes into the controller itself.

http://www.xbox.com/en-us/live/about/guide-voice.htm - http://www.xbox.com/en-us/live/about/guide-voice.htm

Though from the link one can conclude its just a normal headset with a 1/8" mini jack.

So yes you can use whatever headset you want but you still need the adapter that goes into the controller which im sure only comes with the headset.
