Girl Suspended For Cartwheels at Recess File this one under stupid school rules. The world may have changed enormously over the years, but 11-year-old girls still love doing the same things at recess that they did many years ago: cartwheels and handstands and other cool gymnastics tricks they do such much better than the boys. That's now off-limits at San Jose-Edison Academy in California. Deirdre Faegre, 11, has been suspended for a week for doing cartwheels and handstands at recess after she defied a new school rule that no one can perform gymnastic stunts during the lunchtime play hour, reports Reuters. -------------------------- Isn't that retarded? The principal of that school needs to remove the stick or something. |

There are some retarded people in this world. I don't think that this has anything to do with anyone's political parties, as far as I know most candidates for office don't run for school principal first.
I think this is just another step in the over-protective parent policy. This principal views all her students as her "kids", and has a huge imagination, and so put this rule into effect, then overreacted when it was broken. The problem with this principal is not her political party but rather her state of mind. |

If i had goe to that school i would have tried to do cartwheels too just to get rid of the stupid rule. Im so glad i got out of high school before stuff like this started happening across the entire education system. -------------

lol ironically we were talking abotu this at supper last nite and it turns out that she was doin cartwheels all the time...not just at recess but in the lunch room in class, everywhere and she had been warned time and tiem again to stop. she problly did get annoyign with it. all thsoe kids that take gymnastics are always showing off their stuff...a girl on my lil sis's basket ball team got ANNOYING to no end doing that stuff all the time on the sidelines and at practices. ------------- Rockin' the Ironman Intimidator.
