Ok, since Nauzerlvr went to the trouble of painting this marker, I told him I'd post it.

This is the marker that I use on our Mil-Sim games, and it's really not
supposed to look like anything, but it's just something I've put
together out of playing.
Additions to the stock A5 are:
Flatline Barrel - Works VERY well for us in woodsball.
Flatline Barrel shround w. Weaver Rails - Use this for mounting front
grip, flashlights (both uv and led for night games) and laser sights.
Front Foregrip - Actually an AR-15 grip I got at a gun show. I didn't
like how close the stock grip was to the handle, so I moved it forward.
Mag Kit - Since I moved the front grip forward, it left a gap on the
body of the gun. Put the Mag kit there to take up the space.
Sight Rail - Since the weaver rail covers blocked the front sight nib,
I used the sight rail to elevate my view. the hopper doesn't block it,
so it actually works. :)
Stock - Sometimes I use it, sometimes I don't. Depends on the terrain.
If I'm not using it, I've got the standard back plate with a sling
attatched to it.
E-Trigger - Tried normal, response trig and e-trigger. Liked e-trig the most.
Internal mods:
Hyperstar bolt
polished internals
Camo paint - Cool night grass effect with a parkerized finish, to protect the marker and give it a uniform feel.
Not asking for a rating, but I've made comments and suggestions about other people's markers so it's only fair that I post mine.

(For some reason, my username for the forum is screwed up so I created this account til I get it fixed).

Thanks Smitty. :) It's more about functionality for me when it comes to
looks really, which is why I mentioned that it wasn't supposed to look
like anything.

Thanks Fallout! I'd not seen that, and it's EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I was going to do some work on the shround of the flatline to shorten it so I could put a M-16 style nib on it, but I like this one much better.

Damn you. Damn you. And, Damn you.
Just when I thought I could only like 1 milsim gun (nauzerlvr, who
didn't add me to Xbox live by the way "ToO GrEEdY") you have to go and
post yours.
Ahh, 9.9/10, I still like Nauz's better. Very nice though, very very.
Maybe you two could team JimmyNZ how to paint, take a look at his
thread in this forum, he drew in some dragons with crayons on his A-5.

You know, if you ever go to a big paintball scenario game, you could be
a sniper if you find the right hill. Plus, a Bi-pod would help with
steadiness too.

Ok GrEEdY: You've been added to the "friends" list on XBox live....now all

Nah...it ain't heavy...it's his marker! ha ha

|

Heh. It can get heavy, but that's what my sling is for. Plus, most of the time I'm sneaking around or just plain balancing it so as to not tire out one set of muscles.
As for cleaning, it's really not that bad. Not for a standard breakdown
anyway. Now if you have to crack the clamshell (separate both halves of
the receiver) it can be a royal pain. Just time consuming.
I do need to get a weaver mount for the bipod pin. Nauz has one on his
gun (obviously) that I really like how it feels. That's actually one of
the reasons I got the mag kit I did, so that it doesn't extend down
lower than the foregrip or the trigger grip. That way when I put a
bipod on it the legs don't have to be two frikkin feet long so my mag
kit doesn't scrape the ground.
Our group has been talking about going to DDay this coming year. That
seems to be the mother of all scenario weekends (at least that I've
heard about anyway) and would be alot of fun.

What about Spplat Attack, that's a popular event. I'm thinking about asking my father if he wants to go with me next year.

Actually, not one single add on is "necessary" to play. The paint and
additions "customize" the marker and make it "your own" so to speak.
See, the additions aren't "necessary" for cars either. I mean you can drive
them without the custom wheels and tires and engine components, etc,
but without the add ons, they're vanilla.
The custom stuff is only "necessary" if you want your marker to be
different from someone elses marker. Take a good look at the markers in
this part of the forum. The vast majority are different in some way. We
like doing that.
If you don't maybe you're looking in the wrong forum. And you're
probably right, the add-ons probably won't make you play better...but it
sure will be a lot more fun!!!!!!
