Is there anyway just be looking at an HPA tank that you can tell if it is low pressure or a high pressure one?

There should be a lable on the side that has all the information like PIS and how many CI it holds. If you can't interpit the lable take it to a welding shop or a scuba driving shop and ask them. If it does not say they and put a gauge on it and find out.

yea, it say 4500 psi, 68 ci. Is that what you mean? I was wondering if there was something that says high pressure or low pressure or is there something that says how many psi it "spits out". thanks!!

What kind of tank is it?

An easy way would just be to screw a gauge into the output hole on an ASA, then screw the tank in and read what the gauge says.

it is a 68ci/4500psi crossfire. The sales sticker says high output but man i am having one hell of a time getting it to shoot right. When i say shoot right, balls go MAYBE 25-30 feet and start to dip. I have turned the velocity screw on my 98c almost all the way out, all the way in, in the middle and get the same output when i shoot a ball. I will keep plugging away at this and see what happens.

Thats what i thought too, but when i bought the tank i asked the lady about that, told her i needed a high pressure for a tippmann 98 and she said that this tank would work great with it. Took it to another shop on way home today, told the guy what was going on and he just looked at the tank and said that it was a low pressure and that is why i was having problems. Asked him how he knew just by looking at it, and he said that if it has a blue neck on it, then it is low pressure, red neck is high pressure. So, that is my problem, that shop sold me a low pressure when they told me it was a high pressure. Going to go back up to that shop and get me a new tank now that works right. Thanks for the help everyone, appreciate it.
