Heres one of the many stories you have heard why Spyder users dont like Tippmann users...
Ive seen this everytime when my friends and I go woodsballing...inbetween each game I would see my friends doin somethin wit their Spyders(theyve had theirs fer a couple of years), either a ball broke in the barrel, the battery died, the hopper wont stay in place because the vert feed is wider than the neck of the hopper, a screw or 2 are loose (all this after the 1st 2 games) and any problems you can think of on a electro-marker and of course they would have to solve the problem on theyre own and try to fix it before headin out to the field....well as fer me, inbetween each game all I would do is wait fer them after refilling my pods and now Qpods fer my Qloader, eating a sandwiche and drinkin a Gatorade and my 98c would jus be sittin on the table waiting fer it to be picked up and to be used fer the next game and once in awhile I would experience a break and a chop inwhich I can remedy on the field during a firefight, as fer my friends, when they experience the same problem, they would spend too much time try to fix whatever problem that jus happened and while one or two is helping each other on the problem/s, I would usually be nearby to watch theyre backs wit my Tippmann.
At the end of the day, one of my friends "finally noticed" that hes never seen me do any kind of maintenance done on my 98c before and inbetween each game except fer refilling my 20oz co2 tank...and I merely told him I didnt have to do much to make my marker work and I told him straight up that Tippmanns are extremely reliable....then he paused and gave me that dumb look and said F that, Imma get a Tippmann next time when we go play....I even boosted up his ego by sayin "cool, now you can become a Tippmann Elite"

I know why people with Spyders hate you!!! Because Spyders are the scum of the paintball world!!! I have replaced my gun three times in 9 weeks and it has broken again. I was at the American Paintball Club yesterday and I couldn't fire more than 9 or 10 balls before my marker would jam and I had to call myself out. I personally believe that Spyders are by far the worst paintball markers in the entire sport. I would rather be shooting a Blade or a Talon. I am saving up for an A-5 to solve my Kingman problems. Oh, and their customer service sucks too!!! They also sell Imagines without the Jumper{which they sell separately for $12}and still say that they have semi, 3-burst, and full auto modes. I took needle nose pliars to mine!!! Now that little green peice of crap looks something like this little dude...

well they just think that since their guns shoot faster that they're better. that is part of it. because they're elecros and tippmanns are semi auto, that theirs are better. my uncle is going to probably be buying my cousin a gun. he said he looked into spyders and pirhanas. i told him if he had to get a spyder to get a high end one, but i said that the tippmann 98c is the best gun for that price range. i said i've heard great things about pirhanas, but nothing can touch my 98c!

i just bought a spyder imagine to test the durability and see self the performance for myself i already hate it. 1 it has to have a 9.6v batteries instead of a 9v. 2 i broke almost every ball even with a halo tsa. 3 it is sensitive to paint i was using the good stuff! i took out my a-5 had no problems ive only had to replace one thing, an o-ring on the rear bolt. nothing works like a tippmann "made in the U.S.A".go tippmann!!!

Kingman is becoming more and more like Brass Weasle, thier quality control is going down, thier adding more crappy features instead of working on the ones they've already got. They're starting to market to the ignorant crowd - making cheap guns with lots of eye-catching features that are of sloppy design and construction. They're using more and more plastic with each new gun they make.
IHMO, autococker users hate us more than spyder users.

Pretty much all of you are wrong.
1. The "They're jealous" stuff is pure crap. If they were jealous, they'd do something about it and get a different marker.
2. "Spyders are the scum of the paintball world" Then explain to me how they can be successful in cloning their many markers, and making a killing in the recball circut. They provide affordable beginner markers to people who can't see spending $275 on an A-5 just yet.
What they might NOT like, is the preponderance of 13 year old kids with tippmanns constantly trashing them and their marker. These are the same kids who come in here whining about how someone with a cocker made fun of his tippy....thats so mean, but hey.....let's go rag on this spyder! They don't hate tippmanns, they hate you.
Spyders, as I mentioned, are easy to afford for people who are getting into the game. One of my first markers was a spyder. I didn't like it, but it got me through games. So some of them might break. Not all of them will, and the only ones that will become seriously screwed up are in the hands of people who don't know how to take care of their markers.
.......I think THAT answers that question.

The statement the Spyders are getting like Brass Eagles- heh, other way around. The BE's are Spyder threaded barrels. The newer BE's (after the Marauder) fit the Spyder trigger frames. BE and Spyder are becoming the same. I swear Kingman must own BE.
As to why, why to people with Mustangs hate those with Camaros? Easy- they think they've got it all until the tranny breaks, while the Camaro still keeps on running.
Plus, anyone will try to brag that they're stuff is better. I've argued for a few minutes with a kid with a VL Orion, saying it was the best gun ever. Then two hours later I was fixing it for him.

There are like only 2 people in my Town that Own Spyders, and one of
them just bought a new Evil omen a couple of Days ago... When I'm
in the proshop and looking around at practically stuff I cant afford
but makes for good Eye Candy, anyways... A New players first thought is
always looks, and they always walk near the Autococker Area, but then
look at the price, and then pretty much run away from that area, then
they wonder over too the Sypder Area and look at a E-99, or a Pilot,
and right before they buy one, I Tell them "You, know that guns ganna
break on you in about 6 weeks, right" then they get all defensive over
a Spyder, then I get confused on some of there logic they come up with,
then I tell them "Just Try a rental 98c for one game, I gurentee you
that you'll enjoy that rental then you would with any of those Spyders"
Then they play a game with the Rental, then a Few days later I may see
them with a Big Red Tippmann box.

I dont hate spyders, cause ive never shot one, but there is this retarded kid at my school who always asks me to go paintballing with him, and brags about how fast his gun is, he told me his STOCK E 99 can shoot 22 bps, and that my cocker is a pos compared to that thing. I would rather own a tippmann anyday over a spyder.

Actually, I'm not saying all Spyders or bad, it's just that many users of Spyders that I've had experience with are very ignorant. 4 of my friends have Spyders, 2 with PMI E-Force Cores, and one friend with a 98 custom. Out of all of them, I have the most upgraded gun ( A 98 custom), it's the most accurate, and it shoots the fastest. Now I've never boasted ONCE about any of the features except how reliable it is. Whenever we go paintballing though, they always complain about how I brag about my shooting speed. The only one that keeps his mouth shut is the 98 c kid. Every single one of them has had bolt, leakage, or jamming problems. I never have jamming problems because I got HPA recently and because I have a 12v revvy. After nearly every round, we have to pause because the kids with PMI's have to oil every part of their gun. They can't go anymore because their guns suck and don't work anymore for whatever reason. Now it's me, a tippy, and 4 spyders. I never try to force my opinions on them at all, or even mention it for that matter. But every time I go, I stay quiet because although I think my gun is better, I never want to start problems. However, they seem to get angry that they have more problems. They then blame their problems on me when I don't agree to fix their guns every time! What should I do?

Just fix their gun. Tell them they shoulda got a tippmann.
I think why most spyders break down is because people who are starting to paintball usually dont buy expesive guns. so they probably buy a spyder instead of tippmann because spyders are colorful and good looking (well... more than a tippmann.) so once they guy their spyders they have almost no idea how to maintain it. thus the spyder breaks down because of a noob that cant maintain it.

The main argument i hear all the time from spyder owners as to why they feel their marker is superior is because the spyders already come with double triggers/X-chambers/E-grips/Drops for about the same price as a tippy.
Granted you have to spend more money to get those additions for your tippy, but what most spyder fans fail to realize is that although they get those upgrades automatically, they marker itself is not a sturdy and will have a much higher tendancy to break.
Also they feel that since their marker has the potential to shoot faster that they are somehow superior. I had a few friends who used Spyders, all are 98 Custom and A-5 owners now. They all got tired of fixing their marker all the time, and finally changed over, they have not have problems since.

Let's face it...
New Player + Marker that requires regular routine maintenance = Formula for one messed up marker.
Tippmanns are capable of plugging along with almost no maintenance. Sure the manual says you need to do similar maintenance procedures as you would with a Spyder but we all know that a Tippmann is just about as indestructable as a marker gets.
The issue with Spyder breakage is that you have someone who knows NOTHING about the sport, DOESN'T read the manual, and just expects the thing to work like his X-box. Turn it on, play with it, turn it off, that's that. Well, you can't do that with a marker (again, other than a Tippmann) and have the thing work.
You guys come on here to talk about Spyder owners bashing your Tippmanns...but I'm seeing just the opposite. For the record, I have a MilSim stacked tube blow back (VM68 clone...which the Spyder is as well) and have shot my buddies Tippmann. Both are nice markers but mine takes 3 times the regular maintenance his does. Both shoot very reliably.

Because Spyder markers aren't made in the US of A, that's why they have the least trouble breaking.

Spyders are descent if you know how to fix them.
The thing is, an experienced player who knows how to assemble, disassble his/her marker, and knows how to fix and maintain the gun would be more fit to use a Spyder. The lack of performance is there. By the time you're very experienced with markers, and know what you're doing, you'll probably surpass the markers performance, meaning you're going to need a new marker. That, or be stuck behind the road-block of a non-optimum marker.
I just confused myself.

Spyder as it compares to a Tippmann is like Honda as it compares to any other non-Asian car out on the road. Robotech said it, both are nice markers except Spyders require 3X the maintence over a Tippmann... very simply put.

the reason why they break is bcause some kid who is new shoots his friends spyder a couple of timesand thinks its great thats were things get bad he begs his mom or dad and go buy hima triad /xtra or imagine then he shots once or twice and puts it up for a month amonth later he goes paintballing and it breaks down this is wgat i call spyder denial he thinks he has the best gun andsays its the best and when a dude with a tippmann mensions his gun the guy calls it a piece of crap while his is in his garage desintagrating in a trash can

I agree that Spyders are..... uh... how could I put this.....O.K. for people just getting into the game but I still really dislike the company not only for it's lying packages but for it's crappy customer service. The phone service dude told me the Imagine only chopped because I was too moch of a moron to use it right. Kingman is in my opinion the worst paintball company to ever make a single marker. I would honestly go onto a speedball field with a Talon before I would EVER fire another Imagine. Noobs be warned...you get what you pay for when purchasing a marker. I vote Tippmanns as the best quality for your money. For the same price as an E-99 you can get an A-5.... may the force and the statistics be with you.......

I agree. Spyders can turn out to be very good guns as long as they are maintained. This is, in fact, true for many guns. However, only 2 of the people I go paintballing with know how to properly maintain their guns. One is a kid with a 98C and the other with a Spyder Xtra. He's been upgrading his gun lately though, so it's just basically carrying the Spyder logo and that's it. 3 of the other Spyder owners all have the stock Xtra, and one has a stock Icon Z (Xtra clone). Since the kid with the upgraded Xtra has a Spyder, they feel it necessary to say my gun sucks because it's "ugly". They get me out roughly twice a day, but I usually get them for a total of about 15-20. It sucks because they say I only get them out from lucky shots, which is entirely untrue. They rant on and on about how I payed for all of my upgrades (only ones we share are a drop and x-chamber and double trigger) when theirs came stock. The funny thing is none of them except the two aforementioned know how to even field strip their guns to lube em, which is pretty funny in my eyes. Last time we went, one of the Xtra's bolts wouldn't recock. He said it was a broken ball, so I looked in the feed and barrel. No shell, no paint. He didn't know what it was, but I did. The kid had dry fired over 3000 shots at his house for w/e reason. Then add 4 paintball experiences, roughly 3000 more shots. 6000 shots with NO oil? The bolt was scratched as **edited**. I field stripped his gun to prove it to him. You think I'd get a little thank you for helping show him what was wrong? Nope....it's because I have upgrades on my gun that I supposedly have no idea what I'm talking about and that my tippmann will always be ugly. In conclusion, the kids I go with usually piss me off, but there's nothing like taking my anger out on them in a round So just remember, you get pissed off? Let them feel it. Bunker em, overshoot, whatever it takes.....let them see what a tippy can do.
