| Is Jacques Chirac and the rest of the Frech government making anyone else angry? wow! I am so angry i cant even explain it! its everything they do and say! I mean no offense to people of french descent, and citizens of France and have nothing aganist them. But the government of France and Jacques Chirac inparticular, I honestly hate! Yes, that is a strong word, but it describes my feelings well. How could any of our "allies" make an attempt to turn nations aganist nevermind, a nation that we have saved over and over again!...And then the United nations! they do nothing at all but take billions of dollars from the American Peopleand others and give it to terriorists and to themselves. I think as a congressman had suggested, we should begin to pull our UN funding, year bby year and watch them fall. Who agrees? |

Well, first we fight the French, then they help us and only get to our aid in the nick of time. We save thier butts from the Germans, then do it again in WW2. France was at one time the strongest and most agressive military force in the world. Both the US and France have some sort of bias against one another. No one country is completly right and the other wrong. Everyone needs to get over the fact that they hate us. When a bully in school hates you for some odd reason, what do you do? I for one ignore him. Thats what you all need to do. They are thousands of miles away. They have no affect on our lives. well, once upon a time there was a war the yanks were involved in in lebanon....i am talking about beirut.
The barracks of the 24th marine amphibious unit wer etuck bombed(a really really big truck bomb)...and most of that unit was destroyed....now without getting into the particulars of that conflict, lets just say everyone knew who did the terrorist bombing of the marines and no one did anything about it. until france, swinging big brass balls on this one....took out a hezbollah camp in a very daring air strike. Don't say france never did anything for you guys....they have done PLENTY. Not to mention jaques cartier. Besides, i took it personal because i am french-canadian. AND! Because canada did not enter the war as well....although there are many reasons for it. as a soldier myself, i wouldn't be opposed to guttin me an insurgent or 70! ------------- A second class drive is always better than a first class walk. |

Lay off the french mes amis, they can't help being bass akward. It seems the strongest and bravest of them died fighting for Napoleon. France does have alot of 'slpaining to do, such as why they supplied the prohibited ground to air missiles that were so often used against US and British planes patrolling the no fly zones. I'm still waiting to see the extent of the kickbacks they received via the oil for food program. I'm of french ancestry myself. It seems my ancestors emigrated to France from Scotland many years ago to help fight off the evil English invaders. It also seems that some of France's best soldiers had to be hired from countries other than France. Americans aren't all that well thought of in alot of France, but if you tell them you are from Scotland they become quite friendly. It's hilarious. Most of them can't tell a Scots accent from a Brooklyn accent, so if you want a good hotel room, or a decent table in a restaraunt, tell them how much nicer the weather is in France compared to back home in Scotland.

Heh, the French. I personally do not like their language, their customs, their country, their habits, their language (again), their influence on the English language (gross), and that god-forsaken radio tower they call a National Moument. I also don't like their fighting ability, their lack of courage, and their language (yet again). However, I'm not exactly happy with the U.S. either. Our crappy and sloppy rip-off off Blitzkreig ("Shock and Awe"), our stupid head-long dive into enemy infested territory, our lack of attention to the first country we invaded, the idea that after we bomb a few Iraqi "weapons" facilities we can go to the bomb site and find them, the fact that because there were pictures of sand and boxes that we had to go to "war," the bad military decisions, the war crime we committed going into Iraq (war for a super-power should be justified by retaliation or aid, not initiation because we don't like them), the great political shift of enemies (wasn't it Osama that we wanted, not Hussein?), the fact that Afghanistan doesn't have the oil we wanted so we went to Iraq, and the great American ability to piss off everything that isn't American. I also dis-like the typical American- everything in the world must be, has to be, and should be American attitude. If I were French, I'd complain about the U.S. because we're acting just like Nazi Germany- invading countries for profit. Sure Hussein was a "evil" man, but it seems North Korea has atomic weapons and our "tough, man of action" president is doing what we didn't want to do with Iraq- talking. We shouldn't have gone into Iraq, we didn't have just cause yo go into Iraq, and now we cluster-  ed the whole operation and we have to clean it up.And for the comment on France being our ally, ha not anymore. We don't have any except Britain now.
