My friends and I got a bunch of the political signs (thick plastic cardboard like stuff) & attached them to pallets. We also set two 55gal drums together for a nice easy bunker. The political signs, just ask your local political parties. We got 4' by 4' and 8' by 4' delivered to us free. The drums came from a local concrete service for free (had a non-toxic basement sealant in them), but we had to pick them up. Pallets came from the local truck stop.......they were glad to get rid of them, normally they paid to get them hauled off. I've been there and done that. I actually worked on mine today by clearing out more land. If you can find old carpet you can nail them to trees an cut shooting ports in them if you like. It's better than some other options because its flexibility allows you to close any holes between the bunker and the ground by just lowering it. -------------

You guys are all really lucky to live in forested areas, I live in Phoenix, Arizona, the only cover here is a catus with a snake in it every other mile... I with i could try forest ball, it sounds really fun, especially making your own coarse, that would be soooo sweet! My friends have some woods in the back and a big @$$ tree had fallen down because of the hurricanes here,(live in Fl , some one kill me if another one comes) anyways it had fallen right in the middle of the field we play on, cutting the field in half. So my friend n I chopped up that big motha and we made an awesome lil semi circle fort out of it, im not saying you should wait for 3 hurricanes to come to your back yard and knock down a tree so you can chop it up(very tiring btw), but you can use big logs and lots of big square unused plywood, be creative. I also had some sod put down in my front yard and so we used the wood platform that sod comes on. All we have to do now is cutt the weeds down and a little brush and maybe rake it up a bit if we want, make it look nice . and we'll have an awesome mini woodsball field. So be creative.-------------

You could try using old furniture if you have any. A tall shelf would be nice. Just put it on its side and add plywood to the sides of it and on the front to make it a little taller. |

i dug a 4 ft deep, 6x5 hole in the ground and used 2x12 boards as walls around it on 3 sides, then made a roof out of plywood and made 2x4 legs to hold up the roof and voila. you have a good place to shoot your buddies in woodsball, and they dont have any clue where you are. but dont forget to cover it with branches, leaves, etc so it blends in. ------------- Pain is weakness leaving the body. semper fi. take old blankets and place them on top of each other, then nail them to 2x4's on the shorter sides (rectangular blanket) and pull it really tight, and nail them between trees. and depending on how well, or if you understand my confusing explanation, paintballs wont go through, they'll bounce off because the blankets will absorb the impact. it works with any tightly woven fabric. ------------- Pain is weakness leaving the body. semper fi. me and bluemunkey42 built our own woodsball couse in my backyard. we use cinder blocks stacked like brick walls,wood stacks of choped up trees, a rlly kull stone wall bunker, big sheets of plywood, you can steal construction barrels from when they do road work nearby, road signs work great, fllaen down limbs from trees can be stacked up to make an exelent and sturdy bunker, go chopping down trees then you canuse the bulk of the tree to stack ontop of eachother, if u rlly wanna good scenario bunker go anywhere they are building houses and u can find used sheets of plywood and 2/4'rs to build the frames of houses and support em to trees, but whatch out for those possums, even tho they make great shooting galleries they never stop stareing u in the eye grrrrr scary little critters for more ideas on fields and target ranges im me at GWAR6688. ------------- 98custom r/t double trig 14" extreme rage barrel revy w/xboard |

use anything and everything. me and my cousin used pallets to build
walls for buildings and covered them with heavy duty plastic to keep
paiont out. This works great for milsim cuz u can make rooms and crap
out of them I thnk weve spent liek 40 bucks on our course. ill get some

A while ago, I was thinking of ways to improve our woodsball course that my buddies and I play on, and thought of this quick, easy way to make bunkers. Well, by quick, I mean, it shouldn't take more than a day to make, if your not a lazy ass. Ok, first, dig a four or four and a half foot deep hole, whatever your preferance for how deep you want the hole. Then, get one of those small, hard-plastic kiddy swimming pools, and flip it over the top of the hole to be the walls and ceiling. Cut an entryway in the back of the pool, and some spots in the front to shoot out of. Of course, most of these pools won't blend in too great with a woodsball arena, so I suggest piling dirt or brush or whatever around or on it to act as camo. Or, you could actually paint a camoflauged pattern on the pool itself, which is what I do to my tree stands that I make. With a little ingenuity, I think this could potentially work very well as a bunker. ; ;

at one of the fields I go to, the owners took a bobcat and dug trenches all over the field. other than that, good sized scrap plywood, screws and 2x4s, make them strong. tires are great too, but i haven't tried the pallets. spindels that have been used for cables and what not are great to have. electric companies usually have them laying around. ------------- It sucks being antisocial alone. |

I have natural sinkholes that cover up like a 5 by 5 foot area and are about 4 foot deep. Also while I was thinking, if you get like 5 people to work on your course then you should consider getting about 35 big garbage bags full of leaaves and make pyramids or tall triangles. Hey bud good topic. look the best thing is plywood and your own imagination. I live in Gatineau Quebec Can. and get a good wooden area with closse quarter wood and a good open place and build your self a small citie vith only plywood. the endless stuss you can do in a feild like that is crazy!!! thats what i did with a bunch of friend and we havent got sich of it yet havent mouved a thing in 2 years. So get your self some plywood from anywere dont need to be all spiffy and stuff just scrap plywood and go for it knock your self out to build anything in your mind!!! ------------- Eyes up this one's for you!!! if u build the palets, try going to k-mart and asking the manager if you could have some of the outdoor sale signs(the signs they put out along the streets durring big sales). and i am sure those signs could stop a paintball. and if they don't give them to ya, just go and pull them outta the ground...saves them the trouble of having to pick them up. and they don't seem to care if they disapear. but i staple the signs to the palets and you have a solid wall. the signs are made of a plastic cardboard. so they'll work great if they have somekind of support behind them. ------------- It sucks being antisocial alone. |

What we do is dig fox-holes and stack logs around it. By doing this you make yourself a smaller target since your partialy under ground.................this realy works

christmas trees work kinda good. not alot of balls are gonna make it through all those branches. old TV's. dressers, doors, plywood, dumpsters, shelves. if you nail plywood boards across two trees and put some holes in them they work great. picnic tables are good too. basically anything that is strong enough to stop a paintball. old sheet metal.or u could use a PS2 cuz thts the only thing there good for. -------------

well, for some reason i have tons of really old wooden snowfencing lying around my property-this stuff works beautifully because its so old and faded, it blends in-giving you the jump on the other team a good way to make a bunker is to use the other people's ideas (blankets, plywood, ect), and then a half dozen yards away build a well camoflaged bunker out of brush, that way, they will be distracted by the visible bunker, try to outflank it, and run right into your line of fire my property is covered in sheds, the funnest bunkers ever |

It is really fun where we play we have two bridges we play between an old bridge that isn't used anymore that goes over a little creek. Then in between is probaly two three probaly more acres of woods and the their is another bridge that we play at and it has a lot of post underneath it so we play speed ball under it. Dig a big hole, lay an old tractor tire down around the hole, get a big igloo shaped dog house. cut a long rectangle on the back side. place dog house on tire with back of house facing the direction the attacking team will come from. But make sure you tell people who will be going into it that there is in fact a whole. a friend of mine told me to go get in one of theose to defend, so i ran and dove head first thinking that it was just sitting on the ground. i ended up with a barrel full of mud. ------------- As stated in the The darkness song...GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF MY WOMAN MOTHER**edited**ER!!!! |

My friends and i used some old roofing truses that are made outa 2X4s' that were kinda rotten. we ripped em apart adn stacked em up useing to fenc posts on eitehr side and end to make sure the wall didnt fall over. tehn some ply wood on top and on the back side. and old tables. a hand rail thats about 20 feet long with pallets infront of it and old swing set pieces. and 5 plastic 55 gal. drums. all sortsa of random misc. crap. ------------- *Obsession is the key* |

| use pallets. they are those things that places like home depot stack stuff on with the holes so the fork lift can pick it up. all you will need to do is just cover with branches and leaves and makes for a great bunker. i got 8 of them at my field that me and my friends play on. |

| Sandbags! Go to a local feed store, if you have one, and get old feed bags (not the paper ones), and fill them full of sand. Then stack them up and make like wall 10 ft. long and kind of curve it alittle bit. You can also dig trenches and stack some sandbags infront of it to help for cover. I also had a cool idea. The 55 gallon drums someone talked about earlier, if your good at cutting and welding, take the top off one of the drums, then take a torch and cut off the bottom, and do a few like that. Then lay them on thier sides and butt them up together and weld them. then dig a trench like 3 or 4 ft deep, Lay them down in it, and cover the trench back up. Then ya got a tunnel. Anyone want a pic of one of these tunnels pm me. Good luck! |
