I currently own the A-5 with the flatline, i already have the E-grip, but i wanted to get the RT for it, after using my friends gun (98 Custom W/ RT and flatline) it would break balls when going full auto, so i was wandering if the RT for the A-5 and the Flatline would break balls also.
Your comments please.

Umm... You have alot of moeny to spend if your buying random upgrades that are all ready surpassed by your gun. Even though I hate all three things about your gun, I'm amazed. The E-grip should be just fine, it has the different firing modes. ...jus...jus...wow!

Yeah, I have an RT and a Flatline. I go "full auto" all the time firing 12
-13bps through the Flatline and don't have a problem. The Flatline will
not break balls no matter how fast you shoot. If your breaking balls you
might have shoddy paint!

If yer experiencing breaks in the barrels....you should be checkin the velocity and not blame the Flatline barrel, if the velocity is set too high on a marker, a ball will break and that goes fer any barrel regardless what brand it is.....250 to 275 fps is the correct setting in using the Flatline barrel any higher than 280 fps, the balls will be flyin every where and will break in the barrel.
Also, Rule of thumb...the Flatline barrel on both Tippmann models are a medium bore....get small bore paint like RPS/PMI Premiums and you will never experience a break or a chop.
And why would anyone want to replace their E-grip fer the RT and I can understand if someone wanted to upgrade from the RT to an E-grip or is it that yer gettin tired of using batteries and you want to go back to the old and easy way and not worry bout using a battery.

I don't know about all this BS...
I personally like the Response Trigger better, even though it freakin' runs through the C02 like a mofo.....I get all day air and refill the tank every two games (200 or so shots a game) just to keep the Response Trigger running!
My friend had an E-Grip and he lit up his van when he was walking home....His finger nudged the trigger and TA-TA-TA-TA

Tell your friend that there is a safety on his A-5, that will prevent accidental discharge, that's what it's for. Are you using 20oz. tanks? If you are, then 400 shots per tank is poor performance for an A-5 with the R\T. Most people do not have their gun set up properly or do not use them properly, and assume that the R\T is using up all their CO2. You should be getting at least 900 shots from a 20oz. tank. If this is the case, then you may have a bad seal or more likely shooting the liquid CO2 out of your tank. CO2 is a liquid in the tank, and when you fire rapidly for an extended period of time, it does not have the time to expand into a gas.

Well i have my own Tourny team (Das Reich) and that is when i use my E-Grip, I also play in the woods and that's where I would like to get an R/T and use that there, so by the way it sounds I probably will the R/T upgrade. Thanks

The empire...
Anyhoo, shooting a a high rof while using the flatline is a common problem. Why? Becuase people can't seem to get their barrel in the adapter right. You simply have to make sure it's in all the way and straight. If it's crooked or partly out of the adapter then yeah, you're going to bust some paint in their. Also make sure you're using small bore paint that is good quality. The flatline doesn't exactly work well with junky paint.
I understand where you're coming from with the whole RT for woods and egrip for tourny. But you might as well flip on f/a mode on your egrip when playing woods. It's not worth the extra money. You could get a nice barrel with that $75 instead. Like a CP 2-peice or J&J ceramic full tilt.

No, no, you misunderstood me. I said that the Response Trigger will not function nearly as good after 200 shots of the C02, I never said I was getting 400 shots from my tank. I can get A LOT of shots from my tank, now the R/T will not work nearly as well after playing a few games with the same C02 tank.

Its because the CO2 tank is not putting out as much pressure after 400
shots as it did when it was full. Get HPA, a reg, or maybe an x-chamber
and anti-siphon... Any of these things SHOULD help you get more out
of your air supply.
